Caught him during that "Walking back to the car with nothing to show for, and Ooh this looks like a bassy spot, let me cast this Zoom Horney Toad I already have tied on a couple of times, and swim it right beneath the surface thru all that duck weed" moment.  Sucker came out of the water like a Great White breaching after a seal. Wasn't really heavy at           2 3/4lbs

I usually don't fish this area of the nature preserve (which is actually behind me) cause it's not open to the public like the main lake. It's a marshy swampy area which does feed the main lake but its also home owners' property. I'm on a public bridge so no harm no foul.

There, fixed it.

Ive caught a few chunks, but nothing like this. I didn't know how fat it was until I got all the salad pulled off of it.

Should of taken a belly shot.

That's because Photobucket all the sudden decided everyone should have to pay for what they've been getting free for years. I have almost 40 pages of pictures on PB that I can't do anything with now.

Photobucket, is that an app for a smartphone or something only for pc's or mac?

It's a website that you used to be able to upload your pictures to and then share where you wanted. I guess you can still do that, but now they require a fee to be able to share your pictures anywhere. I need to put all mine on a USB and delete my account there I suppose.

I only have an Android for all of my online stuff. I have the Image Shrink Lite app. It's free and if my regular pics are too big to share here or anywhere all I have to do is go to my gallery, choose the pic I want to share and share it to the app and I can condense the file quickly and then share it where I want. I like it, it's real easy to use.

Thats what I'm working on now. Fortunatly all those pics I have on PB I have also on my phone. So I'm just gonna connect my phone to my laptop and copy the pics over. Then I'll save them on a thumb drive or a cloud based server like Google maybe.

This reservoir is tough to fish cause it's so pressured especially by the bucket brigade even though it says specifically it's a C and R reservoir. There's also a lot of foot traffic going thru the trails along the waters edge, and I think that also makes the bass wary.  I have most my luck with Jigs, and better luck on a Yak. I've caught one off the dam with a crank bait, and one with a Pad Crasher in a cove in my yak, but the majority on jigs. Theres some pigs in there, I've seen them during the spawn. . A friend of mine caught a 5lbr in the lagoon below the dam. I've been going there for a couple of years now so I kind of know where they like to hang out so I pitch my jig from a distance back so I don't spook the bass by walking up to the water and then casting.

Nice dude. Do you think you could sneak back there with a float tube?

The other night on my way back from my kids house I threw into a golf course pond and nailed two greenies. Only 14" fish but they exploded on a brand new skitter pop I had just ordered.

Left the old lady in the truck. Just took my rod and a pair of pliers. About a dozen quick casts and I got the heck out of there.

Been wanting to to do that for a couple of years at that pond. Finally got that out of my system.

That water back there is private property so i'm not even gonna try to float around in there. With my luck i'll be laying down on my face with cuffs on.

Good move.  As you know, BassResource.com forbids any trespassing to get to ponds.  You're doing the right thing.
