Cheap rod

What would be the rod to get out of these three or I'd take yalls suggestions too. I'll be putting a GC 120 reel on the rod. Quantum response micro trac,Berkeley lightning or dicks has the lews carbon fire for 50$. What should I do? I got around 60$.

I've only ever held/fished the Shock, but for the price (esp finding it for $30 at Walmart) it's a good rod.

I've never fished the Shock, I have fished the regular Berkley Lightning. I would say it is a heck of a good rod at it's price range.

Foe $60 a field and stream tech spec black can't be beat. this rod totally surprised   me. nice and light and really sensitive  . has handled 4 and 5 lb bass in weeds with no problem.

Honestly my shocks go hand in hand with my shimano, diawa and lews rods. Sensitive, sturdy , light and handles braid nicely. That is all i need

North Carolina around  Raleigh. So I've got a bass pro and Cabelas bout a hour from me and two bait and tackle shops that's been opened around 32 years. Got a dunhams and dicks a Walmart field and stream but never been to the F&S don't know how they are.

Berkley Lightning seems like a decent rod from my limited experience, but if you're on a budget you might also want to consider the Cherrywood and spend more money on lures and line, that's what I'd do. You'll likely be very happy with the Lightning too though.

The LR Shock is a great choice in your price range. I'd also look at the Abu Vengeance rods. I own a couple of them and like them a lot.

I can guarantee that an ugly stik will never break whether get a big fish or slam your car door on it. Try the Cabelas Tourney Trail casting rod. It cost $59.9, has IM8 graphite, and a lifetime warranty. I have a Cabelas Tourney Trail casting rod and it has been outstanding for me.

The ugly stik may never break but it seems like the rod tip fairy will come and take the ceramic out of the eye eventually. I have 3 of them in the corner that need rod tips and only buy them at the flea market, which comes to another subject. You have to wade through a lot of junk but you'd be amazed at some of the used rods that you can find at the local pawn shop or flea market for 5-10 bucks. My last score was a bundle, I think I got 8 rods and reels. Most were total crap, but one had an SC/33 (this is a GC120 with a Sears brand name on it), a GC80 underspin, a vintage Zebco 33, 2 nice Ugly Stiks, one Cherrywood and one nice Fenwick ultralight. This was one big bundle, wrapped in duct tape. I couldn't see all the rod brands but at $15 for all, I got enough decent rods that I can absolutely outfit a friend who only has one rod and wants to fish more than one bait and the kids have a ball with the junkers. I put some 30+ year old mono (I think it's 15lb, no label though) and 1 1/2 oz sinker on a '70s vintage shakespeare combo from that collection. My girlfriend's 8 year old son now practices casting that rig from his treehouse into an old coffee can about 40 yards away and he's getting really good.
