SUPERHOT Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 I got a *** *** 8:1:1 for heavy duty fishing(Frogging,Flipping,pitching). Now im not sure what rod to get and i cant go overbudget and have 200$ to spend on the rod. Any advice for an all purpose heavy duty rod that can do all three. Quote

To balance a 7'4"-7'6" rod you will need a butt counter weight so off set the heavy tip feel. You have a lot of choices within your budget. Take a look at Glenn's pitching vedio using Okuma rod. PaFrogThrower9 Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Yes sir. The one three 7'3" heavy will work fine. One three makes really nice rods. I have a Fate chrome and a Defy Black. For the price they are awesome rods. Light and sensitive. Don't over look the Dobyns Fury line either. The 735C is right what your looking for. Not all companies do it and there are better choices out there. Balance is fine on my F7 rod with no added weight. Quote

Guess they could be adding weights in there but I doubt it. Quote
