I am for the most part.  Workout 5 days a week. :)  My kryptonite is most definitely Chik-Fil-A nuggets.

Today I will have a Costco hot dog.

All this talk and I had to pick up some dogs and fixins to throw on the grill. Vienna Beef dogs, Butternut buns, some tomato, and cucumber, already had the mustard, onions, sport peppers and celery salt at home. Side of potato chips and I was good.

In the Bay Area today.  If any of you ever come out here, I highly suggest Super Duper Burger.  Double Cheeseburger with bacon and garlic fries.  The best part?  They will cook it medium rare.

I noticed how few appreciate what the perfect hot dog requires. You just forgot the sweet relish. That Costco dog might be good but if they had decent toppings, like the tomatoes, pickle spear, and sport peppers, they'd be much better.

What the hell is a sport pepper?

They are small green hot peppers packed in vinegar. We call them Pepperoncini around here.

That does look good.  Too bad about the thin cut fries though.  Crinkle cut are far superior.

Cheddar cheeseburger, on a hard roll, off the char, with bacon, bbq, and sweet pickles.  <mic drop>

Anyone ever in the Rochester, NY area, hit my up.  I'll buy.

Pepporchini and sport peppers are not the same....at least here in Chicago. Different peppers and different pickling

Good to know. I love Pepperochini. I will have to get a jar of sport peppers shipped to me and try them.

Sport peppers are a lot skinnier than pepperocini, and quite a bit hotter.

We might want to have a discussion about what is a hot dog, or what is actually a frank.

I'm gonna have to get my hands on some sport peppers to try them out, love peppers as condiments.

Belcampo butcher in downtown LA also makes a heroic burger.  One of my favorite stops when I'm in town.  Their chicken sandwich is also good, and then there's the fries...fried in rendered beef tallow.

Well, perhaps I'm in the minority, but i usually only have

ketchup on my hot dog. I'm a hot dog minimalist, I suppose.

No peppers, relish, onions, or any other stuff graces my

food. Perhaps chili and cheese, but not regular.

And @J Francho, I think the terms hot dog and franks have been

intermingled over the year that to most people, they're one and

the same, but to purists, not so much.

I'll admit, Rochester, NY has its share of awesome hots/franks.

Tried many of the brands. Fan of Zweigles. Still waiting for a

Wegmans in our area. Stupid politics ixnayed them out of a

perfect spot here. Unsure if they'll keep trying or not.

Be careful where you order your hot dog if you are in Chicago. There are places that REFUSE to put ketchup on a hot dog if you are over 8 years old. The classic Chicago style dog is "dragged through the garden" (pickles, relish, onions, tomato, peppers and mustard) and never, repeat never has ketchup on it.  Order it plain, and sneak ketchup packets outside to put it on your dog.

LOL, Thank you, Scott!!

I will be extremely careful. My brother lives in Chicago,

so if we visit, I'll be sure to seek cover quickly.

And I won't tell them I prefer NY style pizza over theirs!!!
