Is a Heavy power XF action to much for pitching

Hey guys im going to get a new rod, the Powell Max 3d mag bass 7'3 Heavy Xtra Fast action.. Do yall think this would be too much for pitching with braid(not flipping...). If so please tell me why.. Thanks

I use the same spec rod with 65# braid for flipping and pitching also.

Rod and line choice is dependent on lure weight and cover. You can pitch with any combo.

literally purchased a 7'6" heavy xf from bp a week ago and snapped the tip after my 2nd hookset while pitching. It was a johnny morris platinum rod dont know  if it was defective or not though but the xf tip just seemed too brittle

Everyone's preferences aside, the faster the tip on the rod, the lower the weight rating for the power.  So an XF rod will not handle the same weight as well as say a F or MF rod in the same power.  Extra fast tips do tend to be more brittle as that's a byproduct of the super responsive, extra fast action.  That all being said, there's a chance the rod had a defect, but likely 90% of broken tips are due to user error/abuse/etc.  It would be worth checking on the warranty, the general consensus is that the Johnny Morris signature stuff tends to be of good quality, and likely has some warranty.

i had full cover warranty and traded it for a 7'6" H F villain 2.0

That Powell will work great. I have a original Powell Max 683 CEF which is a 6'8" MH extra fast and I LOVE it. It is at lest 4 years old and it is the most versatile rod in my rod lineup.  I use it for tons of uses but I really like it for jigs, especially swim jigs with a grub trailer.
