Super User jbsoonerfan Posted May 28, 2017 Super User Posted May 28, 2017 I am in no way looking to sadden the mood this Memorial Day weekend, but please be safe and hug your kids and tell them you love them. I just found out that a student of mine these past 2 years drowned today at a local lake. He was there to celebrate another students birthday and he went under and did not surface. Before EMS could arrive he was located and CPR was performed till they got there. He was pronounced dead about an hour after he went under. I feel for the family and hope that we all can take a moment and realize how easily things can change. Shane was a great student and an even better kid. He will be missed. RIP buddy. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted May 28, 2017 Global Moderator Posted May 28, 2017 Sorry to hear about that. As a parent, I can't help but think of my boys when I hear about something bad happening to a child. There must be nothing more awful in this world as a parent than losing a child. My thoughts and condolences are with his friends and family. Quote
Super User Oregon Native Posted May 28, 2017 Super User Posted May 28, 2017 Hearts out to you and them...it's so tough. We lost our daughter to cancer as many have and think of her every .... single .... day. Grandkids and son get lots of hugs and they give em too....precious Quote
XpressJeff Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 My sincere condolences to you and the family. When a child's life is taken it's difficult to understand the Big Guy's plan! Quote
