Low_Budget_Hooker Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 This Christmas I made a cake to bring to my brothers and made a stencil of the LBH Bully Bass. This is the test run on my kitchen table with confectioners sugar. Cake came out awesome, forgot to take pic of finished product. I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on this. I want to make a larger stencil and include the LBH name in an arc above it and spray paint it on my front deck. Like this but without the words "fishing team" and with the fish 2X larger. Opinions? Look cool, stupid, special paint anyone know of? Quote
NEBassMan Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Very cool idea! Is the front deck on your boat carpet? Quote
Hale Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 It would be cool to have it embroidered in carpet. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted January 1, 2007 Super User Posted January 1, 2007 I usually like a chocolate cake with white icing. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted January 1, 2007 Author Posted January 1, 2007 Yes, grey carpet. this was choc on choc w/ choc pudding middle and mini morsels pressed against all the sides. Quote
VekolBass Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Very cool. You might want to try to come up with a motto or some other witty thing to add on the bottom to kind of balance it--symmetry. Quote
BASS fisherman Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Powdered Sugar? sure.....j/k That cake sounds really good. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted January 1, 2007 Author Posted January 1, 2007 yea, like that b/f No, it wasn't a $500 cake! Quote
NEBassMan Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Got a link for you Russ... I think using a die like this will be much better than a "paint" on the surface of the carpet. And tons of colors to choose from. http://www.rightlook.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=99 Jason Quote
striperone Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Low Budget Hookers, Love the idea and it looks great. The first image you had posted looks the best. The scale of the fish should remain the same. Just my opinion though. Short of having it embroidered into you carpet, I think your going to have wear issues? But with that being said, I have seen pro's boats that have their sponsors names embroidered in the carpet have looked quite shabby after wear and tear not to mention stains on them.... Good Luck! and be sure to let us know the outcome! Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted January 1, 2007 Super User Posted January 1, 2007 I agree. Keep the size of the fish the same and tuck it up in the arch a little. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted January 1, 2007 Super User Posted January 1, 2007 Shouldn't this thread be moved to the Pastries & Cakes board? Quote
Super User Catt Posted January 1, 2007 Super User Posted January 1, 2007 Dude you've got one heck of an imagination I like Quote
dink Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Maybe go check with a T- Shirt shop that does silk screening. They may be able to recommend something to use on your carpet. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted January 2, 2007 Author Posted January 2, 2007 NEbass- thanks for the link, looking into that stuff. Dink- I have a friend that screens for a living....will talk to him today. Thanks guys! Quote
