Am I the only one gonzo enough to have fished this thing?  It fishes.  Take that bottom hook off, and it's an all terrain quacker.  I got one and thought...what the heck.  We've got tons of curly leaf pond weed on a couple lakes around, and this thing is perfect for those.  It moves right over the top of it, no issues. Every once in a while, clean out the little bushings so the feet rotate, and you're golden.

give it a shot if you haven't. It's definitely different.

I have one and have thrown it a few times. Haven't spend much time actually fishing it though. Like you said, if you remove the bottom treble it becomes pretty weedless. It's a cool bait and definitely causes commotion in the water. I'm sure I can get a bass on it this year.

What's embarrassing about the duck?I'll throw a pink vibrator with trebles on it if it works.Ill even turn it on for extra water displacement .

Talk about getting some females following to your boat ..

I always wear one when fishing so the chicks don't go crazy, swimming out to my boat to introduce themselves in their skimpy little size 3 bikinis and all.  I guess my handsomeness is a two-edged sword but can sometimes be the burden I must bear.

Have you caught any fish with it? I got more than enough lures that only caught one big mouth and that was me.

I haven't thrown mine as much as I should but it does work. I need to get one of the white ones.

Do the pike where size 3 bikinis when they introduce themselves?

Didn't they design it primarily as a pike lure?

I was just so stoked about this lure, that I beat a path to my local tackle shop.

Then I got the bad news!  The Suicide Duck is not available in 'Gadwall' nor 'Baldpate'

I'm Outta Here!  :angry7:

Savage Gear is based overseas where pike are the primary predator fish and there's no bass to be found.  A lot of their baits are designed with pike in mind, but bass are predators too and I can confirm they will eat the duck too.

It isn't quite as loud as a Whopper plopper, but it's pretty similar.

A: Yes, I've caught many fish on it.  It's a repeatable lure, not a one hit wonder.

B: I would imagine it would be a great pike bait, too.  We don't really have any around, minus one lake, so I don't worry about it.

Yep, total coincidence.  I simply wondered if any others had fished it.

I bought one to hang on our xmas tree after my wife complained I lacked holiday spirit.

I do plan to fish it, there is a suburban pond with a low wall all around that I fish that has a pattern that will be perfect for it.  Kids come and feed the ducks, when the ducks swarm the wall the sunfish follow them in but the hundreds.  I have found that the bass will then come over and can be caught right on the outer fringes of the duck/sunfish cluster.

They're part of Okuma.  They're a great company to work with.  They have a small "family business" feel.
