Been trolling around the forum for a while not and figured I'd ask a few local guys if they know anything about lake Wellington. Seen it on google earth and was going to fish it. But had some questions first and was wondering if anyone had been out there and knows the situation with the boat ramp. I'd hate to come back and my car/trailer is gone or get a ticket of something.

Any info on it would be much apperciated.

That pond near the airport and the hotel that has a ramp? I live off of Southern and Forest Hill. I've had a friend go with his new ram 2500 and a ranger. No issues in his experience, he caught a bunch of dinks on a senko. I'd say just go to Osborne and catch LM and Peacocks.

The pond you are talking about by WPB airport? If so that pond is connected to Osborn/ida system.

The lake in referring to is on the NW side of forest hill and south shore blvd. been out to ida/Osborn/Clark and it's always loaded with jet skiers and gets a little rough for my little Jon boat.

I was talking about the lake near Palm Beach International Airport off of Southern, before 95. If you can get into the lower part of osborne before the canal to ida there are good largemouth and good pea spots that dont have much pleasure boat traffic, I've also ran north to clark shores from osborne and have done well in there.

I was in the airport lake with the hotel and only caught a dink. Did t say for long. But you can get to that lake from Osborne/Clark if you keep on trucking up the canal. Caught a few decent ones in osbourne/ Clark may havehave to just give another shot and launch there instead of coming north from Ida. Maybe il see you out there. I'm the only guy you'll probably ever see running a longtail In the urban canals.

If you see a silver and maroon 19ft Triton, thats me, feel free to roll up and holler. Truthfully I've been hauling up to Sebring and fishing those deeper lakes recently. Couldn't tell ya what the fish are doing out on the osborne chain even if I wanted to, I have not truly fished out there in over a month

Tyler,  I live just up the road from you in Loxahatchee and drive by Southern and Forest hill everyday during my commute to Deerfield Beach.  Let me know if you ever have an empty seat in your boat, I will gladly fill it.  Do you know a good, local outboard mechanic?  I am trying to nurse a 1984 16' Bayliner trophy with a 85 HP force back to life and need someone with more knowledge and tools than I have.

Thanks,  -  Bruce -
