GANDER MOUNTAIN CLOSING

I stopped in to the new rebranded store as I was early to an appointment just down the road. They had barely started setting the shop up, and I was expecting the same ol Gander junk. From what I saw, I was actually kinda surprised by the selection. They had a few brands/models of things that I was hoping to purchase locally, but no one carried.

I always shopped at Gander for Guns. However I was shocked when my local Gander closed. I was in it two weeks prior and there was no mention of closing and my store was on the list to stay open. Then all of a sudden boom closed, no liquidation, no advertisement just closed.

Good to hear, I am going to have a Gander "re-open" as a Gander Outdoors in my area later in the year. Hopefully they provide enough differentiate themselves from the pack and stay open.

So far, their new website appears to be offering basically the same stuff...maybe even less.  Other than a newish name and logo, I don't know if there will be much of a difference.

Sadly still better than Bass Pro pays, lol.
