Screens get water spots. They're easy to clean though. I keep a microfiber cleaning towel in the boat to clean mine.

I'm not going to recommend this because I may have just gotten lucky.

I have an old 797ci2 that had a film on the screen. It drove me crazy. Nothing would even touch the film cleaner wise. I don't know if it was buildup of water spots from years of the previous owner never cleaning the screen or if there's some kind of factory applied something or another that oxidized.

I got bored one day and tried a real mild automotive polish. It worked.  I've never tried it on another unit. You could well ruin a screen with it I would think.  I just put a real small amount on a microfiber cloth rubbed lightly then lightly buffed it off. If yours are getting to the point where it's driving you nuts you could try a real small sample spot down in a corner or something. Again I'm not saying it's a good idea, just sharing something that worked for me once.

Lemon Pledge. Spray it on, let it sit 30 seconds to a minute, wipe off with a microfiber towel. The citric acid eats away the hard water spots. Can't remember which pro I heard recommend it, but it's worked great for mine.
