I have one rod I can absolutely bomb a weightless fluke with hardly any effort... And the whole combo doesn't cost more than 75 dollars.. Braid to fluro on spinning gear is new to me as of last year. I used to be 100% all fluorocarbon. I put 12 pound braid on a spinning rod that I'm anxious to try for this year. Should cast a mile as you say. 2 Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted May 15, 2017 Super User Posted May 15, 2017 I probably use 65% to 70% casting gear, the rest spinning. Anything with 10 pound or heavier line for me (except braid) is done with casting gear. Quote
Super User NHBull Posted May 15, 2017 Super User Posted May 15, 2017 I throw a Med/XF with a senko every time I go out. Nothing like bringing in a 4 pounder on light gear Quote
PatrickKnight Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 95% of my fishing in both fresh and salt water is done with spinning tackle. Quote
Hurricane Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 last time i went out it was 75% spinning.. was windy as hell out on erie at times... absolutely enjoyed it... Quote
DeluxeReverb Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 70/30 spinning lately. Conditions dictate, like they always do. Quote
