Super User webertime Posted May 11, 2017 Super User Posted May 11, 2017 My Typhoons (no idea what model) are in the lake... any big heads out there with suggestions for sunglasses? Preferably with room for a shnoze that's been broken a couple times. Thanks all Quote
Super User Scott F Posted May 11, 2017 Super User Posted May 11, 2017 Are these big enough for your giant head? 1 Quote
Super User Montanaro Posted May 11, 2017 Super User Posted May 11, 2017 Im not a big guy just big head and oakley offshoots are a good size. Although after a while they can get uncomfortable sometimes. Quote
brotekind269 Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 I have a 7 1/2" + dome and just got a pair of Spy Rocky. very light weight, comfortable, and fit fine. I also really like the "happy" lenses compared to my oakleys. I have tried on Spy frames in the past and many of them run small, but these are baller. Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted May 11, 2017 Super User Posted May 11, 2017 Fatheadz Eyewear - made specifically for large noggins ...they were an early sponsor of Jacob Wheeler when first starting out. Quote
Super User geo g Posted May 11, 2017 Super User Posted May 11, 2017 I have a good size head, Costa's have a size for everyone. Its just a matter of going to a good outlet, and trying them on until you find a comfortable fit. Costa's are expensive but worth the money. Do your homework before buying. Once you find the model, size, glass or plastic, and shade, shop for the cheapest price. Quote
Dorado Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 I'm frugal when it comes to specs and would rather spend $$$ on thousands of lures and soft plastics that I'll probably never use So, I have a big head too and these $40 Strike King S11 Okeechobee sunglasses w/ gray lens have been killer in for these bright AZ days. I'm very happy with this pair and have money left over to put towards a new Daiwa DX Swimbait Heavy Rod. Plus, I'm clumsy as #^*( on the water so I would shed man tears if I misplaced, dropped, donated to murphy, etc. a $300 pair of sunglasses. Do I look like Robocop with my SK S11s? You betcha! But I'm not trying to impress nobody when I'm on the playground. Just my angle. Good luck! Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted May 13, 2017 Global Moderator Posted May 13, 2017 The Costa Fisch frames have worked well for my size 8 melon. Quote
SFL BassHunter Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 My fat head seems to like the Strike King S11 Okeechobee sunglasses. I also find them to be just as good as my Wiley X's for visibility. The Wiley's just don't fit right, and after a few hour of fishing the top of my ears start to hurt 1 Quote
