Westcoast Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 I definitely find I have too much of a selection of stuff. I kayak and bank fish mostly so it’s not like I can carry much with me. It makes it difficult to decide what I actually need to bring along and not have a bunch of crap I’ll never use. Quote
Jonas Staggs Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 i just did something similar, but I just chucked all the "crap" Into old plastic bags, and stored them in a backpack. Maybe Ill find a use for some of them one day. I look at it as part of the process of learning what works and what doesnt for your area, youll never know until you try. I also think I got too caught up in what I was getting told from youtube videos vs my actual experiences on the water. Quote
Kletust Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 I haven't started over... but I'm definitely going to simplify this year. Ive been trying so much stuff lately that I don't really have a ton of confidence in anything. I bought a co-angler tackle bag last week.. and I'm only carrying what will fit in it and 5 or 6 pre-rigged rods. Quote
Tizi Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 This hit me over the weekend. I have been prepping my gear for the upcoming season, could not believe all of the fishing stuff I have accumulated. I am going through it all, simplifying brands, baits, colors and weeding out items. I am gifting my son all of it this weekend. Perfect timing since he is moving east of the mountains for a few months to help with the 737 Max that are sitting on the tarmac in Moses Lake. And I will be going over to fish with him a few times during that period. Perfect! Quote
