One I already own: Three Screw" S47 Super Blackhawk manufactured in 1969, 7 ½ barrel, 13 ½ overall, & weighing in at 48 ozs. Empty. Varnished walnut grip panels with a Ruger trademark black eagle on a silver medallion.

I want Magnum Research's Mark XIX Desert Eagle in .50 Action Express with Picatinny Rail

Really wish I had my issued 1911. Never had a failure and it's accuracy has spoiled me when shooting my plastic guns.

Would also love to get my O3 Springfield back too

Glock 19 Gen4 and HK Mark 23.

Glock 19 can carry comfortably with a "shorter" full length grip, mags are a dime a dozen, accessories are a dime a dozen, it doesn't fail.

HK mark 23 becuase it's basically a tactical target gun.

Whenever I can get away with, I want at least a 4" barrel. Sub-compacts are for t-shirt weather only. Safe-action pistols save lives.

Some enhanced version of 1911 and a Kimber for carry.

Glock 19 & Ruger Super Redhawk in .44 mag or larger. (I have a .357 Blackhawk but like double action of the Redhawk)

One for 2 legged creatures and one for 4 legged creatures.

Any Glock would be my first choice, you pick size you need, 43,26,19,17 all good. Secondly a S & W 642 airweight. Then you have a semi-auto and a wheel gun. Now you have variety, reliability, and you are set for most everything. Targets, self defense, CC, threatening wildlife, etc.

I'd take my Walther PPS M2 for carrying and my Dan Wesson Valor for fun. The PPS shoots like a PPQ and is super comfy to carry daily. The valor makes me smile when shoot it. There's something about the push of a 45.

Just wondering how long it is going to take before this thread turns to a  Plastic vs Metal  thread. ?

I like handguns, from rimfire pistols to big bore revolvers. The most important function of handguns for me is self-defense. A compact 9 mm and a subcompact .380 give me the option of concealed carry in almost all situations. I have a Ruger SR9c and LCP that serve that purpose well. I see no reason to fix what isn't broken.?

Give me the option of two additional handguns with cost no issue, and I would take a custom 1911 and a pristine Colt Python. I can't justify the expense, but if you're buying...

KImber Micro 9 Raptor for my EDC and either a Wilson Combat, Dan Wesson, Ed Brown or Jesse James custom 1911 .45 for the heck of it.

Not like they're practical for anything but if you made me choose (and gave me the funds) it would be a Colt Python and Colt Walker.

For personal protection, Glock is the overwhelming favorite handgun.

Sig Sauer represents about 1/3 the sales of Glock (U.S. Navy Seals / Dept of Home Security)

Sturm Ruger represents 1/5 Glock sales (Nazi stormtroopers)

Must be lots of stupid people out there.  :wink7:

Roger I am not, nor ever have been a member of the Nazi party!? I am a big fan of Ruger though as well as Sig and Glock. I would probably carry a Sig if I could find the right one for a good price. I prefer a DA/SA, a DAO, or an external thumb safety on a concealed carry pistol and don't own a Glock. If I were going to war, a Glock would suit me just fine.

Thebillsman, the original question is not really clear. If I could only have two pistols, Glocks or something similar as I mentioned in my first post would absolutely be my choice. I want something that is easy to repair or replace that I know is going to work flawlessly. A beautiful custom 1911,  Python or high-end CZ target pistol would be nice additions  to my collection...after the basics are covered.

jeez.. dream big guys. I can't even begin to imagine what's in your dream garage. A 2003 F-150, a 2007 Honda Accord and a 10' Jon boat.

LOL. Do you really think a $1300 CZ is dreaming big? And for the record, my vehicles are a 2000 Durango and a 1995 Ram. ?

I have an extra-long, two-car garage, but you won't find any cars in there.         Maybe a Glock  :)
