Yesterday was a sad day in the fishing world.....it was the season finale of Zona's Awesome Fishing Show! 

  I'll probably survive the next 9 or so months by watching the old ones I have on DVR but come on Z-Train you have the best show on planet earth we need more! 

 We also need more Greg Hackney holding a cat in a captains hat cameos.

10-4! I went through my rolladex looking for the directions to Lake Menderchuck and it seems I misplaced it.  Could you give me the quickest easiest route there please?

There's a little country store with an old Coke sign
You gotta stop in and ask Mrs. Van Dam for some of her cookies
Then a left will take you to the interstate
And a right will bring you right to the lake.

It was a dog, a miniature Dachshaund (sp?).  I think a cat would have freaked out being that close to the water.

Since there are so many Lake Menderchuck's in Michigan I'd really love to find the one he and KVD fished in that episode. What a lake to produce that many big fish! 

  I know which Menderchuck it isn't. ?

I watch it just before going to sleep. Other than that it's working for the man, honey do list, or spending time with my son. That eats up most of my time this part of the year.

Love his show, especially the ones with Hackney. The guy just always seems to be having so much fun and loving life really. It's a nice break from the usual kind of rigid show host. Always does something every episode that gets me laughing. I'll be missing his show for sure.

What's Zona going to do from now then? No bass live, no Awesome. We all need a little Zona time every now and then.

Zona and Hackney could do a whole season. Love it.

 

But it fish time now they don't want you setting around watching tv either. TEVO or what ever you call it. I'm leaving the house in 15 min.

It's not done for good. I'm guessing he's out shooting next seasons episodes. It's just the long wait until the new season starts that's a bummer. Thankfully spring has sprung, the days are longer, and the fish are biting so time will fly.

Phew then. I like Davy on live, but Zona brings an energy and entertainment value that is hard to replicate. I wondered if he was unwell or something as he appeared to be finishing a few of his things.
