edit- Ended up buying a revo beast about a month ago that I now use primarily for bigger swimbaits and jigs. It is such a smooth reel in terms of casting and retrieve. It is definitely my nicest reel (better quality than curado I and other Abu's) . It is just hard to feel lighter baits with this reel since it is so beefy. This reel does not belong on a small rod either.

Tatula ct type r for $130 on the same auction site.

I would go with a tatula or a curado for that price. Like the above post you can get them from $100 to $130 on the big auction site  (according to model). I am not a big Abu fan so I don't have any input on those models you ask about.

I havn't been a big fan of my abu reels. Too many issues after heavy use that I am not seeing with my other reels. Is this for in-shore fishing? If not I would go with a different brand / style of reel.  You could buy a lews tournament pro for that price or even a shimano curado and have a much better reel.

You opened the flood gates for recommendations. You will find everyone has there favorites.  I'm a lews guy and in that range old suggest anything tournament mb and up.  I also just purchased my first daiwa tatula sv  and it's slowly becoming a favorite of mine.  It's a little above ur stated price but $20 is not much and well worth a look
