I disagree JB. Most of the dump her advice comes from guys that have been with a woman like that.  Me included.   I married a woman that loves to fish, cook, and work.  They're hard to find, but they are out there.

Shame on you guys for talking so much **** about a girl you don't know. He asked for hobby ideas. Not for you to bash his girl and make fun of her. You don't know the full story or who she is. So why be so rude.

Interesting first post. I think if you read the post directly above yours, you'll see why so many responded like they did.

"Because they've been with girls like his" um do they know his gf or what she's like other than what he has said? No. So they need to back the **** off.

You're right, that's all we know and in combination with past experiences with individuals similar to what he has described, that's the advice he received.

Maybe the better advice is not to ask for life advice from a bunch of strangers on the internet

The Detective hairs on the back of my neck are standing up. Sounds like the OP let his girl read this thread...

Welcome to BR, Britsabrat12.  My suggestion.  Let your boyfriebd, Austin11, go fishing when he wants to.  A happy man is a faithful man.  Or find a guy that enjoys doing what you like to do, whatever that may be.

Austin, I'll pass on some sage advice that was given to me by a very wise man.  Don't marry the woman you can live with.  Marry the woman you can't live without.

Its interesting when someone post a question on a forum asking for peoples thoughts and opinions. Then some get mad at the answers provided from people who have been in the situation. It is up to the OP to decide what advise he wants to take but he had to be aware ditching her was going to be option advised.

Talk to the woman herself. Not a bunch of crusty old fishermen.

But we have experience, and, we are trained professionals!

I'm guessing this is mostly a matter of age.  My wife would rather take a beating than go fishing with me and she has plenty to do to keep her busy.

Not so sure you chose the best analogy there..

Yeah...maybe not.  My wife would rather do almost anything than go fishing with me.

If you don't like to go fishing, why did you join a fishing forum?

It's fairly obvious that Britsabrat only joined Bass Resource

to vent his/her opinion on this thread      :wink7:

I'm guessing a lot of you are correct with the age thing here. We were that age once and we would drop anything for a woman, and if forums were popular back then we would probable seek advise from total strangers too. Not we're older and we know better than to ask a bunch of ANGLERS of all things relationship advise. We can't help you OP you have to figure this out on your own. Life is always going to throw you curve balls you just need to learn which ones to swing at. Good luck my friend.

I have a feeling that after this thread and the girlfriend joining to give her 2 cents, the OP is going to have lots of time to go fishing.
