They're a gimmick imo. Sure they'll catch fish, but not any better than other baits.

i agree i think it would more so be the action of the bait and not that it looks like a bunch of fry or minnows

Every product I've tried of theirs catches bass. ! Even the stupid sunfish. So you can rest assured if you buy one that it will catch fish ! Honestly they make a lipless that is one of my favorite cranks in my box.

I hear alot of griping about the price of this companies products ... But I see the same people spending 26 on a megabass jerkbait. Lol.  I like to stay around 5-10 bucks for a jerkbait though. Husky jerk , x-rap are usually what I reach for.

I have two coming as a birthday present. I'll give some feed back after using them for awhile.

I'm just somewhat curious about them. I'll use them and throw them. I have a few hard craws that work but I have rapalas, bandits, and bombers that out produce them.

It's buy two for 6 each at DSG if you have one nearby, this week, and probably on and off through the rest of the year if past experience is a guide to their Livetarget pricing.

FWIW I agree with all of the above, it is a gimmick and buy one if you like the look of it to satisfy yourself and not the bass.

AND they make quality lures that work, so if you get one, you'll probably be satisfied.  Just don't expect it to outproduce because it looks like it has cool little fish in it.

Live Target Threadfin (baitball series) Squarebill is one of my top producers. Actually, I would rank that particular lure in my favorite 5 hard lures of all time for LMB. Threadfin is the primary forage where I fish and that lure gets some aggressive chasers to shore. I like to burn it in the Fall and postspawn is effective doing a moderate retrieve with frequent 2 second pauses.

$12 for a squarebill is a lot, relatively speaking. I'm a SK KVD 1.5 fan too, but I catch more fish consistently with that baitball pattern. Solid work Live Target.

The surface area of the lure is equal to that of a DT10. It not like you are throwing something the size of a softball with it representing a school of fry in mass. I believe they will work. But I don't think a bass presieves it as that. I believe it's just a reaction to and object. Don't believe they look at it and study it. Bait ball the size of a golf ball? It will catch fish. Can't wait to get mine. Meant to catch fisherman also. I have times where my all solid black Bandits works fantastic. What does solid black represent? Reactionary behavior of bass. Most guys believe color means little to nothing. They are probably right.

I have a Live Target lifelike Smallmouth Bass. Had to have it. Big Smallies have to eat little smallies. Had to have the Rapala Shad Rap lifelike image Smallie. Won't say they suck but both have only been productive on channel cats while bass fishing. Lifelike means nothing to me.

Rapala has an original bluegill pattern. I find it very productive. They also have a live image bluegill pattern they came out with. I'm a sucker. A Rapala junkie. This live image one just doesn't get it done. Don't want to say it sucks because someone else may be doing terrific with live image over the original patterns. I just glad I can resist all this stuff that comes out but I am willing to give some stuff an honest effort.

I got a few when they were first released and I found them on sale but haven't thrown them much.  I've had success throwing other cheaper baits so never bothered to go back to them, so now they're more of a conversation piece in the tackle box.

Yeah, those baitball series of baits always seemed a little "gimmicky" to me so I never pulled the trigger on one. I would think you'd need really clear water conditions for the baitball pattern to even be visible. Most of my fishing waters are stained to murky. I'd rather buy 3 baby 1 minuses for the price.

But as I admitted in another thread, I did purchase a Dance's Eel back in the day. ? So go figure.

I have only thrown the bluegill series, and I can say the realistic profile and tight wiggle it has is really good in tough conditions. It's not a game changer though, just another arrow in the quiver.

Live Target baits are the best thing I have ever seen at catching...................fisherman.

Meanwhile some where else today, the 15th billion bass was just caught on a plain old boring chart. w/ black back squarebill that cost $5.

I have a few of the Matte finish bluegill cranks, both the shallow and medium diver and they are good baits. What got me was they are flat sided baits and I'm not sure if they designed them to swim like a bluegill but they do. I find that in mid June when the bluegill are on beds, nothing produces better than the bluegill crank.

They get me about every time. Last time it was their swimbaits they just came out with. I swear it won't happen again, until the next time.

If YOU think it is awesome and the bass will destroy it then YES it is a great bait. You fish better when you have confidence in a bait for whatever reason.
