GoneFishingLTN Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Hello I've been bass fishing for about a year now I have all the soft plastics. Worms, horny toads, flukes etc. But need to restock on my terminal tackle what would be the must haves in your opinion my list right now is. Also If I can get a better deal I'll take suggestions on what brand to buy or where to buy thank you tons I've googled this and there's just not a straight basic guide 4/0 ewg 100 pack for $55 3/0 ewg 100 pack for $55 idk what sinkers or what size bobber stops (small med large?) to get 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted May 3, 2017 Global Moderator Posted May 3, 2017 Is there a brand hook you're wanting to stay with? I fish almost all Eagle Claw hooks. For the price you're saying, I can get you a 500 pack for a couple bucks more for the 4/0, few bucks less for the 3/0. This is for their Lazer Magworm hook that are comparable to Gamakatsu Superline hooks imo. Size Count Price Qty Total 2/0 3/0 4/0 5/0 100 500 1000 $71.50 X = $71.50 $57.20 Their hook quality has jumped by leaps and bounds, they're not the Eagle Claw hooks most people think of when they hear the name, (they do make Trokar afterall). For sinkers, I use a mix of lead, brass, and tungsten. Brass is for C-rigs, Tungsten for fishing vegetation, lead for everything else. I'd probably just get the large bobber stops so you don't have to worry about them being too small. Some tungsten weights have pretty large holes through them. Quote
GoneFishingLTN Posted May 3, 2017 Author Posted May 3, 2017 Wow that's a much better deal no I don't care about brand at all for any of this. I'm just looking for good enough product for tournaments. What would you start off with for sinkers as far as most used weight and cheapest brand? Can you also get deals on them if you buy them in bulk? I pretty much just used weight last year for Texas rig worms. I'm looking more into c rigs/flipping with hook and weight not jigs etc sorry if it seems like I haven't done research I have but there's just so much info but everything I read is different even for the same techniques I'm reading about from article to article .
