Super User N Florida Mike Posted December 17, 2018 Super User Posted December 17, 2018 One of the broadest Cypress trees Ive seen. It stays broad way up the trunk. You can kind of get a perspective by looking at the palmettos at bottom left. I wouldnt be suprised if this tree was 500 years old. 7 Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted December 18, 2018 Super User Posted December 18, 2018 The story behind the photo. It had to be taken in the early fall around 1985. We were probably about thirty miles from shore. Migrating birds are a common sight, and often took advantage of boats along their migrating route to get some rest. It's a long hard pull for them as they travel between Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket to Long Island. The bird on my head had to be extremely tired and desperate. It sat on my head for ten to fifteen minutes. As you can see, no razor blade company or barbers were going to get rich from me. I'd get my hair cut and beard trimmed six times per year. 4 Quote

We all loved boxes as kids. I remember a water heater box I got to play with when I was 5 or 6. Man I miss that box. ? 3 4 Quote

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted December 20, 2018 Global Moderator Posted December 20, 2018 After 8 years I still have those moments where it hits me "I'm responsible for that human!" Or "I can't believe we created this human being". At times it's really surreal. He's my fishing buddy, my hunting buddy, my shadow and so much more. Maybe some day he'll join this site and have the screen name 6poundbass, until then I have the pleasure of teaching and showing him hunting, fishing, and life. 12 Quote

Harold Scoggins Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 Preparing my most prized possession today for cleaning and prayer for Lynn @A-Jay. The eagle feather was presented to me by a fellow Kiowa warrior and holy man. We consider the eagle the strongest, bravest, and holiest of all life and the eagle feather possesses strong healing power. I will go to the Medicine Man walk today and ask the creator to give her strength. 13 hours ago, 12poundbass said: She has a good support team! Yes 7 1 Quote
