Way north bass guy Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 Our bass season opens this Saturday, I just spent about 2 hours rigging up rods, all ready to go for some brown and green guys ( finally!). 7 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 22, 2018 Global Moderator Posted June 22, 2018 Saying goodbye to a good friend stolen from us way too soon. She was a mom, sister, and friend rolled into one that once gave a skinny 21 year old who wasn't very sure of himself the confidence to stand up for himself and that he was able to do the job. She was a mother to any child in need and impacted so many, fly high TK. 18 1 Quote

Super User slonezp Posted June 22, 2018 Super User Posted June 22, 2018 Mom and dad are vacationing in Alaska. Last week they went white water rafting and today out on the charter boat. Neither are in the greatest of health and they are living every minute like it's their last. Dad sent me a pic today of mom and the charter captain 9 Quote

I just noticed you have CD's on your visor! You're just a bit younger than me so that makes me feel better. I thought I was the only one with CD's in my truck these days or CD's at all! I might just drive my truck until it dies or the government makes me get rid of it and get a flying car in 2048 because the new vehicles I've driven around don't have CD players. ? 1 Quote

Way north bass guy Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 I built these stone signposts a few weeks ago as a donation for a piece of property my sons school bought next to them. They put in a large trail and outdoor learning spaces for the kids so they can have more time to experience the outdoors, the project was kind of a memorial to a young boy that died a few years ago while playing in the forest with his parents. Rather than contribute money to the cause, as a fourth generation stonemason, my wife thought it’d be a good idea for me to do this instead. The neat thing for me is that all the stones used came from a large fireplace/chimney that my grandfather built over 60 years ago. I tore it down and salvaged about 10 tons of stone so it’s pretty cool to use the very same stones my grandfather shaped so long ago, and as he was a hardcore outdoorsman, I’m sure he’d really appreciate this gesture towards the cause. 8 1 Quote

Most of mine are so scratched they won't play anymore. My car has a cassette player in it ? East side of the house @ 2pm West side of the house @ 2 PM 4 Quote
Arcs&sparks Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 We are expecting 90+ Degree weather in the northeast this coming week and I thought I would reminisce... Dec 29 2017, -20F. Thick, black Sea smoke; These iPhone pics do no justice. this is looking strait to open ocean, I could see this black cloud 10 miles inland. It’s about a 1/4mile offshore and a couple hundred feet thick. The sun “rise” was 45 mins prior. 3 Quote

I've seen lots of loaner life jackets at state park ramp docks in Missouri and just recently in Kansas too. No excuse not to have all their life jackets now. Celebrating 'Merica with some food, guns, and fireworks yesterday at our house. Had enough fire power the neighbors came over and asked if we were getting ready for a war ? 6 Quote
