For some weird reason, I can’t see any pics you’ve posted for the last few days. Everyone else’s pop up right away, but yours are just a beige coloured box ?

Beats me! Maybe they finally blackballed me ha ha

When the sky looks like this, with a mix of rain and ice pellets all day and a high in the single digits ( Celsius for us Canuck’s),  it’s time to fire up the stove for the first time this year. Nothing like that first “burnt dust” smell of the first firing of the year. Now I just have to try not to fall asleep in the chair beside the stove, that darn wood heat will wipe a fella out ?

Almost feel bad interrupting those great landscape shots. Fired up the smoker and smoked trip tip and mac & cheese...

It came a hellacious lightning storm not long after that pic, was almost living wrong haha. We needed the rain but it was stronger than I expected, hadn’t had one of those in months

Upstate NY is very scenic in the weeks before it becomes a frozen wasteland.

This large silver maple in the front of my yard turned bright red this past week during the cold snap.  It looks like its on fire when the sun hits it.

The view from my office today. This is looking west over Georgian Bay, from the eastern shoreline north of Parry Sound. Not too bad to have to look at while working all day.

My main competitors chilling together which is something I've never seen until today

That's tough fishing pressure, I keep complaining to dfg saying they don't pay their licenses, but I guess that's discrimination at its finest

Shared with my folks (just up the road) who made it a feast, with homemade Spanish rice, green beans, and my mom's banana pudding, which is beyond anyone else's.

Not only that, they only ate half their skin-on grill-blackened redfish fillets, and will still be eating them tomorrow, so they sent me home with half the banana pudding.
