Yeah, she's pretty rad. One day I came home from work and caught her walking around with a single edge razor blade at the old place. No idea where that even came from, but she had a rough upbringing.

We've got 2. Plus I've been taking care of my daughters cat. I've posted this pic before. This is my buddy. 25lbs of coon

Cats are pretty rad. It's like living with a moody roommate that poops in a box.

This one's Mo, our oldest. I'm pretty sure I've posted this picture before but I'm too lazy to look.

I'm not a fan of cats. I have a calico, that is the sibling of the coon in the pic. The calico was the first born and the coon mix the runt of the litter. The calico is in her own world. She won't let me pick her up and affection is on her terms. The coon mix is at my side no matter where I'm at or what I am doing. My daughters cat is a PITA.

Just found out a few minutes ago that my relatively younger female neighbor had two strokes and is in the hospital ?

She walks daily, isn't obese in the slightest, and seems to live a very clean lifestyle....which really brings your point home.   Tragedy can befall any of us at any time, living in the moment is so important to do, yet so hard to actually practice.   We are programmed to always be looking forward, planning for the future.

You know, for a lot of years I didn't care for cats at all. I love my dogs, but cats are so much easier. And they're all unique. Every cat I've ever had has come with its own little brand of insanity.

I'm training Bean to respond to different whistle patterns, kind of like a bosun's call. A long followed by three short means it's time to head to the office for chow. A long ascending means she better get her butt inside the house. I'll add more as she masters these. So far so good.

We joke that Mo and SWMBO are frenemies. I've got SWMBO's picture in a frame on my desk, and every time I stand it up, Mo will sneak over and knock it down.

What I had to deal with today. The coon has some occasional hygiene issues because of his long hair. I get home from work and he's licking his bottom. Won't stop. I'm trying to prepare walleye and he jumps on the kitchen counter screaming like he's extremely uncomfortable, almost in pain. I get some wet paper towels to help him out. He's screaming even louder. I thought maybe one of the other cats hurt him the way he's screaming. He just didn't like me touching his no no special place. While this is going on, the other 2 cats are circling me like sharks trying to figure out what's going on with the coon. The calico, the coon's sibling, is making some blood curdling noises, I've never heard before, and starts attacking my daughters cat. She was protecting her sibling. She already took a chunk out of my daughters cats face months ago. I'm rushing to get the coon cleaned up and screaming at the other cats to stop them from killing each other.

Did I mention, I hate cats?

Not sure if it was a steelhead or a coho. Definitely not a king. The kings have already transformed into zombies.

It was the only bite all day(3hrs to be exact). Got it on a blue and chrome KO Wobbler. Saw 3 other fish caught. One on a spoon and the other 2 on skein which is generally what people use this late in the season. Caught her in Kenosha Harbor. She was preggos. I'm heading to Sturgeon Bay next weekend with the grandson. He wasn't with me today, I was with my pops. I did stop by his house on the way home to show him the fish and told him we would be fishing for them next weekend. I kept the skein so we can bobber fish. I'd love to see him try to real in a fish bigger than 15".

Yet another wonderful sunset over the back field. Almost every night, we get such wonderful views here, and not another house to be seen. I am a very lucky guy.

I’m in northern Ontario at my parents fishing for a couple days right now.
Fall colours are at their peak right now.
Looks like the shorelines are on fire in some areas.

Absolutely gorgeous, I wish Bob Ross were alive to paint that.

Got a question for you @TnRiver46 .....  Today I saw what I believe was 7-10 large birds with brown and what I think was a bit of white on the underside of wings.   Certainly not Crows which I've seen travel together and weren't common vultures that I've seen around here.

We have lots and lots of Hawks, but never seen a whole group together like this.   In the pic I only captured about half the birds.

Could these be Hawks, or just some other type of scavenger bird.   They all decided to take off at the same time.

Thanks Captain Critter :)

The two species of vultures have white under their wings. Black vultures will have white on the outer underside of the wing, less than a third of it. Turkey vulture is white on the underside pretty much the length of the wing all the way into the breast

my first guess would be black vulture

Is Eric and Grandpa hoping mom and Grandma get lost in the corn for a few hours?
