At 7:30 this evening I cleaned up the last scrap of wood. Not a bad days work for an old stonemason. This will be the new year round home for the boat, and some other things as well. 15’ wide by 27’ long, gonna cover in the sides before winter to keep the weather out, but for now it’s at least a good roof over her head. Better than the tarp shed it’s been in for several years now. Nice! Could've been very nice but that Dodge is in the pics.? Looks great. 1 Quote

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted July 11, 2022 Global Moderator Posted July 11, 2022 Although I’m only 45 minutes from the big pond to my west this is the first I’ve really seen it in about 15 years (pathetic I know). I’m always up for an adventure but I don’t think I’d test the G3 in those waves. Pictures don’t do them justice. I just rolled down the windows, did some computer work, and listened to the waves. 8 Quote
CountryboyinDC Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 Son's new PB largemouth, caught from a neighbor's farm pond while visiting with his Grammy. He scraped his fingers a bit trying to get a picture and wouldn't hold it, so my mom had to hold it up. Kids these days.... 9 Quote

Way north bass guy Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 My brother came over last night with his brush hog and got a start on our fields. They haven’t been cut at all in probably 8 or more years, we just want to cut them every other year or so to keep the biggest brush/weeds from getting too big again. Nothing like the smell of vaporized grass/brush ?. 7 Quote

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted July 20, 2022 Global Moderator Posted July 20, 2022 Close call today. A contractor was boring across the road and hit the gas main (our fault not theirs). I get there and I’m smelling gas a block away from where the bore rig is but hear no hissing gas. I get by the bore rig and hear hissing gas. The gas got into the sewer traveled up the road and came out a catch basin. When it gets in the sewer that’s when things get scary because if it gets in a house is when things can go boom! Thankfully no boom, but now I’m left writing reports, answering to the utility owner, and possibly handing out a suspension. 7 Quote
