It’s impressive when you see one of these headed towards Stockton and Rough and Ready Island. When loaded with cargo and creating their own tidal current, they can sometimes turn on the bite…

It's amazing how insignificant one feels in a 20ft boat when they are next to a ship. There is a ship builder in Sturgeon Bay WI. I had the Lund out there many times. Driving by a ship that is 150ft long and 50ft high, above the water, is impressive to say the least.

After almost a year of grinding with big swimbaits, my 12 year old son finally caught his first one! He was throwing the bullshad 6" bull gill. His combo is a Dobyns Fury 795sb and a Curado 200K with Gomexus 105mm carbon fiber handle. The line is 17lb CXX. He is hooked now for sure.

Got a good start on our new driveway into the barn/workshop this weekend. Ready to spread some A-gravel on it now, then do a bit more work along the side of the barn, then I can get my boat shed addition built. I’m now also going to have all of my work related materials and tools on one site, that happens to be about 60 yds from my house. That’s gonna make getting ready for work in the morning so much easier, won’t have to try and remember what property I’ve left a specific tool at anymore ?

No shoes on. Just socks. Full stride. Clipped a leg of the coffee table. Couldn't make a sound, or so I thought...My wife called down and asked if I heard a baby crying.

You get a more accurate temperature read if you go in up to your hips!

Reminds me of a friend's old dog (gone 10 years now)

Mike was 1/2 Chow, 1/2 Newfie - 150lbs of lap-puppy.

First crappie. First real fish all by himself in fact. He casted the line, set the hook, and reeled it in without help from papa. He got 4 fish and I got skunked.

I don't think so, but it was oddly bent up and over the toe next to it in such away that I got woozy nauseous once what I was looking at really registered. Glad I didn't puke right on it. I grabbed it in a panic, gave it a yank, then it snapped back into position.

It's healing up nicely though. Sore, but the swelling's mostly down. Sneakers today. I'm sure the dose of roids my orthopedist had me on helped it along. Just happy I didn't go down on impact and blow up my shoulder again. Rehab's going well and I really need to fish.

Two over 8lb back to back fishing deep water management canals. Both on the savage gear line through shad. Got to break in my new swimbait combo really good!
