Super User whitwolf Posted April 13, 2022 Super User Posted April 13, 2022 We're on the way home from the outer banks and stopped at a little convenience store and marina off the Alligator River and met a Tuna legend from the show Wicked Tuna Outer Banks. Charlie Griffin is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet! 10 Quote

Way north bass guy Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 We’ve been at our new place for ten months now. I don’t think I’m ever gonna get used to the view here every evening. Sure beats the view from a lot of other places I’ve been to. 13 Quote

Still some ice floating around in the lakes but it should all be gone by next weekend. I expect to start seeing our resident deer population returning to the fields any day now. 2 Quote

Looks like hair algae from run-off of phosphorus fertilizer (Scott's Winterizer) - certainly the fix-able blight of Texas hill country rivers and coastal estuaries. I know you're over-filled with bike photos, but these are worth showing. Climbed to the pinnacle of the greenways this morning, and stopped off at the Medicine Wall for photo op with rock climbers. 8 1 Quote

BayouSlide Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Too windy to fish today so I decided to tune some buzz baits. When my wife got home she heard all the racket in her shop and said "I really need to oil that fan motor!" Obviously, the tuning had gone well ?? 8 3 Quote

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted April 18, 2022 Global Moderator Posted April 18, 2022 The perks of having a dad who’s retired but likes to keep busy, and who has over 40 years of interior finish work under his belt. He got this wall done for us today and he and his friend are painting tomorrow. Hopefully in less than two weeks we’ll be moved in. 15 Quote

Way north bass guy Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 One of the best days of the year! Pulled the rig out of hibernation on the way home from work today. Got a bunch of gear back in it, hooked up the hose and muffs and she fired right up like it’s as anxious as me to get on the water ?. Gonna spent a bit more time tomorrow loading up stuff and going over everything ( tire pressure, safety gear etc.), and if Mother Nature isn’t too miserable on Sunday, hopefully we can get some big old lake trout slime on it ( bass season is a ways off here still). 14 Quote

I really do like the plank look on walls...but...All those colors are way too busy for me. I'd have stuck with multiple shades/fades of the same color. Quote
