Feeding the cows a couple bales the other night and this big nasty Black Window was just waiting for me. I'd rather deal with flying rattles snakes.

Would those be actually flying rattle snakes or just the ones dropping from the cyprus trees into the boat?

I'm good with either or both over those widows.

Where I live, I have a better chance of getting killed by a human rather than a snake or a spider.

It helps we don't have black widows or rattle snakes in Northern IL.

I want to say I saw a statistic that said a very high percentage of rattlesnake bites are in young men that keep rattlesnakes as pets

I have encountered timber rattlers in the mountains, they look pretty scary. Their species name, horridus, is quite fitting

Sounds like a most excellent name for our next Big Dog ~

This guy was on a trail behind our neighborhood. He survived this encounter but one of us may die if he ever gets in my kayak #cardiacarrestA05604A3-A286-4B7A-96BD-7AD1BFFB862F.jpeg.88ae0093d502f43e007008e6adcebe6c.jpeg

The kids are a lot smarter than you think, they go out and buy one that already has the fractions on it:

All my tape measures lasted pretty long and I never really had to buy another until a few years ago. I sent a guy out to pick up materials and he got me a tape measure with fractions on it! I almost puked.

Something you don’t see every day when most people are out walking their dog in the neighborhood park…

At one time I could have thrown some real confusion in there. I had a tape measure that was marked in 1/10" increments. It finally broke and got thrown away.

The absolute best BBQ sauce on the planet PEROID! My good friend just placed another order which just came in. They don’t sell it in Michigan so we need to order it on line. @jbsoonerfan this is Oklahoma BBQ sauce, my friend spend 20 years there and brought it up here. Have you tried it yet?

I love it, the best IMO! I use a ton of it during the summer cooking out. If you ever need any, just let me know and I will send you some free of charge. They have spicy and chipotle as well. I usually just get the original because my kids like it best. We eat it with a lot of stuff. Just PM me when you need some and it's on me.

Appreciate the offer.

We haven’t tried the other flavors for the same reason. My friend has been ordering it from Sam’s Club now. They have the cheapest prices he’s found for us non Oklahomans.

I guess since I grew up in Oklahoma I thought everyone knew about this stuff!  You should try the spicy version, it's awesome!

We’ve looked all over around here in Michigan and it’s nowhere to be found. It should be sold all over the place.

Took this pic on Sunday while shovelling snow off the house roof. It’s overlooking our barn and the river behind it that runs through our property. When I took this pic at 10 am, it had “warmed up” to about -20F. Sure was a pretty view, but I’ll be very happy to see it again when it’s all green and much warmer out.

Not my pic. I stole it from Facebook.  If it were my dogs, the owl would be a chew toy.

My Elkhound was a frisbee dog, and used to pick off birds in the air and squirrels from trees.

For my Akita, it was feral cats.
