Tricksie and Max recuperating in the trailer from a day spent chasing plains grouse with me, but probably continuing the chase in their dreams.

Nice frosty morning over the back field this morning. Looked like a beautiful morning to chase a deer or two around, but sadly I had to work. Next Monday is rifle opener here though, and work can go pound sand for a couple days then ?

Spent the night in Boise on our way back from a trip to Montana and could not pass up the opportunity to visit this place for breakfast. They also have bacon bloody Mary's that I really wanted to try (a few sips), but since it was just me and my 16 y.o. daughter I didn't want to make the wrong impression before heading out for our 10 hour drive home. We'll definitely be back!

Went on a hike with the Mrs. and encountered this a while back.

You know your family knows you are angler when they give you a shirt with this on the back for your birthday and they know you usually come home skunked.

How our dog Jesse looks after going on a long walk. He is a tea cup poodle and no, we don’t want him looking like a typical poodle, lol.

Went for a walk behind the house this evening, the river is starting to look more like fall now. Cold, swollen and pretty much free of any summer weeds. Still was a very peaceful place to spend a bit of time on my own watching the sun go down over our fields and river.

I can see every other photo (and there are lots of them) on this page, in this thread, and throughout the forum.  What the...?

The blank square where the photo should be is sort of pulsing on and off like it's loading but that's as far as it gets.

And when I left the page up to see if the image would eventually load, I got an alert that the page was using significant energy and was reloaded.

Got a package today and to my wife surprise it is not a fishing lures.

This is getting expensive, I think I lost more golf balls than fishing lures.???

That’s what I’m seeing also

I cleared my cache and still no goby…… but now I have to remember a dozen passwords………..

I did catch a few goby in MI this year and used them as live bait to no avail

Late Oct 2021 on Lake Menderchuck

Last Trip out onto Lake Menderchuck for this year was a stunner.

Fish weren't very cooperative but ask me if I care.

30-30  Winchester model 94.

Been a wonderful little rifle for the kind of hunting I’m doing. All day still hunting in the big woods, where a long shot is about 70 yds and most times you only have a very short window to swing and get ready to shoot. This little rifle is nice and light and nimble for carrying all day long.

Yup, used to be a maple on our property that did that exact thing. It was totally grown right back together with about a ten foot gap between. Pretty cool to see, and I’ll bet it’s very rare.

My youngest sent me this flick of a beach and bridge on a typical sunny day so I thought I’d post it and share….

Under the I-90 bridge with Mt. Rainier in the background. I am practically at the start of I-90 and if I’m not mistaken, it goes all the way to New York (update - it’s Boston, not NY city per MN Fisher) . ?

Taken just yesterday at a local lake. You know fall is here. Much of the vegetation is now gone and the stench of rotting foliage mixed with mud fills the olfactories. Those pilings you see in the background are barely visible if at all in the summer.

I shot myself in the foot getting both places (not the same day) there with only 15 minutes of sunlight remaining, lol.
