Way north bass guy Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Big ole pot of venison stew’s been going in the slow cooker all day, and a loaf of the wife’s sourdough bread fresh out of the oven. I know both of my Grandfathers would be smiling at this meal, and asking for seconds! 12 Quote

She goes into the storm drain, and usually comes out with a rodent or 2, usually mice. I haven't been able to catch her on camera coming out - she makes a beeline to the woods. Ahhh, nature from the suburbs of our nation's capital. To think of what I used to see sitting on a tree stand 5 days a week this time of year when I lived in God's country. I had 2 of them fighting in the middle of the road on my way home about a month ago, one dragging the other by the neck. I thought it was a fox dragging a cat out of the neighborhood because I'd seen a coyote carrying a cat out of the same neighborhood not a week before. It was early morning before the sun came up so I stopped and backed up and when my lights hit them again, the aggressor let go and they went opposite directions. I don't know if they'll kill each other or not but it sure looked like that's what was happening. 3 Quote

Way north bass guy Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 The view from my “lunchroom” today. I was going to go up on a 12:12 pitch roof to install a chimney this afternoon, but with the crazy winds and the amount of snow we were getting, I decided this afternoon would be better for paperwork in my nice warm office instead. There’s always tomorrow, or the next day, or heck, even the day after that depending on how long this snow keeps falling ? 4 1 Quote

There’s a couple wind farms about 30-45 minutes east of me but none around here...yet. My company has the contract to locate the electric lines at the ones east of me so there’s potential for more work for us in the future over here. Quote
