Got my first car about 4 months ago; '04 Corolla in great condition. Nothing special but it was a stick and a lot of fun to drive. Paid cash for it as well. Looks like after this weekend I'll probably be in the market for something else....somebody t boned me after forgetting to look both ways before pulling across the road. Never saw them until their hood was at my window. They hit right at my driver's side axle, drove me into a curb where I slid for about twenty feet till I came to a stop. A few inches back and I probably wouldn't be here to tell the story. As it was, no one was seriously injured and cars are always replaceable. Hopefully their insurance should cover a new vehicle for me.

Sorry about the car man, but at least it sounds like you're okay!

James, unless I have my bearings wrong, the house off your left shoulder with the blue roof is the one my parents built in 1974 and sold about a decade later.  Both the house & the area around it looked very different then.  When they built it, none of those houses that go up the hill existed, that was all open land.  In fact a guy in a glider crash landed there in the late 70's.

I doubt that the brushpiles I planted off the side of the dock in 1978 are still there... :D

That one doesn't look like it exists anymore.

Florida tropical fish farmers have been selectively breeding "electric blue crawfish" for three decades or more.  I have seen plenty local species with blue highlights.

Always cool when someone sticks a pig on a bait that you made for them.

That's awesome man! Hope everything goes well! I remember how nervous we were the day before we were supposed to finally go home (Christmas Eve). Almost 4 years ago now and the kid is as full of fire as he was then.

We were nervous too. I think I drove about 40 home. We didn't get an ounce of sleep for at least a week because we were always checking to make sure he was still breathing. Barely left the house. Our nurses in the NICU kept reminding us he wasn't made of glass.....he was as soon as we left the hospital. 7 years later he's all boy and we sometimes forget his first 52 days of life.
