I think you need a bigger dock. Maybe a 8x20 platform. You can set up chairs for all 3 of you to relax, fish, and enjoy your new digs. It would be an easy touch and go for either boat if you have to run home to grab more beer.

Yeah we’re going to put a bigger dock in, that won’t be until next year though, this years budget is long gone. The one we have now is about 10’ long. I’d like to double that. This one came with the house so it’ll work this year.

Anyone that follows me on FB knows I've been building the Lego Bugatti.  Thought I'd post a look back the transmission build.  It shifts, and has working syncros.

I finally used one of those “Round Tuits” I’ve been saving up and installed Carbontex drag washers in my two Curado 201DHSVs. The Carbontex are quite a noticeable difference from the burned up, OME washers.Had to do a little wet sanding on the main drive gear to remove some oxidation. It was instilled in me at a young age to “take care of your equipment and it’ll take care of you” so after some grease, oil and they’re close to good as new...

My wife won Royal's tickets at work, so we took our boys to their first game. They were pretty decent tickets..

My first attempt at  Boudin.

20190526_094112.thumb.jpg.d9c82393b72e8872fda725fd8f902b98.jpg

After a post from @Catt a while back on Boudin, I had a serious craving.

I have searched all over Kansas City, but could not find anything that resembles true Boudin.

I finally searched through hundreds of online recipes. Trying to find one that resembled the Boudin I had at the small gas stations of southern Louisiana, 25 years ago.

I finally found one that looked promising and gave it a try.

instead of the traditional braise after they were stuffed, I decided to give them a little KC flair and threw them in the smoker for three hours.

they turned out great. If there is any left after today, It will be my new snack in the boat.

I was out pike fishing with my son today, and we “caught” a 20 footer!

We were casting a shoreline close to the only dangerous shoal in the entire 15 mile long lake, when three guys in an older Champion came cruising along. They were moving at a quick idle and I wasn’t really paying attention to them at first, but then I realized they were heading straight for the rocks ( usually the shoal is marked with a jug but not yet this year). By the time I realized they were heading straight for it, I just started to wave my arms and CRUNCH! They literally came to a stop teetering right on top of a 5’ diameter boulder, that was directly under the center of the boat. Took almost 20 min of pulling from a couple directions with my boat and a rope to get them off the rock. Luckily they never hit the motor at all, but someone is gonna have some nice fibreglass work ahead of them ?. My good karma paid off though cause after I unhooked them and they headed for the ramp, I dropped the trolling motor and caught a decent pike on my second cast right after.

Just the lottery whenever she buys a ticket. I've never met someone who wins so many drawings and contest. She won tickets to Nascar truck series a week or two ago but we didn't get to go.

Honoring those Americans who rest on foreign soil.

On the walkway to the overlook at the American Cemetery, Normandy, can be found the following inscription:

NOUS N'OUBLIONS PAS, NOUS N'OUBLIERONS JAMAIS, LA DETTE D'INFINIE GRATITUDE QUE NOUS AVONS CONTRACTEE ENVERS CEUX QUI ONT TOUT DONNE POUR NOTRE LIBERATION.
René Coty
President de la Republique Francaise

TRANSLATION

WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN, WE WILL NEVER FORGET, THE
DEBT OF INFINITE GRATITUDE THAT WE HAVE CONTRACTED WITH THOSE WHO GAVE EVERYTHING FOR OUR FREEDOM.

This big boy thumping his head off a tree sounds like a jackhammer. He’s gotten used to us so we are able to get fairly close for pictures and to watch him.

4600 pc.  Two manuals with 970 steps, so with all the other pages, probably around 1100 pages.  There is also a podcast for each of the major assemblies.
