Super User A-Jay Posted yesterday at 02:47 PM Super User Posted yesterday at 02:47 PM And this is what it's come to. Our GMC is not only a fine mode of all terrain transportation, but pulls triple duty as a satellite wifi hot spot and max load recharging station. Just finished a week with no power and there is no reasonable estimate as to when that might change. Good Times. A-Jay 6 Quote

Pretty ridiculous it has to come to that TBH Here in Michigan power companies have frequency and duration metrics they must meet or they face fines of up to $10mil. The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) is the governing body that oversees the utility companies here. I don’t remember exactly when this metric was implemented but, when we have severe weather rolling in I’ll see crews from other states come up just in case. While I think going a week without power is crazy, up where @A-Jay is, they got absolutely destroyed with all the ice and then snow on top of that. When we get freezing rain, it warms up a day or two later and melts. That doesn’t sound like the case up there. Quote

"In 1946, Mound Metalcraft was established in an old schoolhouse by Lynn Everett Baker, Avery F. Crounse, and Alvin F. Tesch. The company’s original endeavored to manufacture metal gardening tools. In 1947, they acquired the patents to several metal toys and decided to supplement their product line with these new acquisitions. The patents included a steam shovel and a crane, which were the first toys they manufactured. Mound Metalcraft sold 37,000 of these models in the first year. At this point they embraced the toy business and abandoned producing garden implements all together. By 1955 Mound Metalcraft had changed its name to Tonka Toys Incorporated." https://hennepinhistory.org/digging-into-history-the-tonka-truck/ 2 Quote
IcatchDinks Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago My wife and I have been waging a friendly war over what color this blanket is. She originally said it's sky blue. Then she backed off and said it's definitely blue, but with some greenish hints. I say it's green-blue, or a teal color. 2 Quote

I would suggest that you both see an ophthalmologist immediately and tell him/her that you can't see the color gray/blue. But my wife says your wife is right. I'm not sure she even looked at the pic. She's just supporting the team. 2 Quote
