My in-laws live in Olney, IL which has the largest concentration of albino gray squirrels on the plant.  They are pretty proud of it...

I think this is the second time I've seen him (or the second one I've seen) in 38 years of living in this house.

For the last few days I've been boom op on a small feature film adaptation of a play. Holding this microphone and windscreen, roughly two pounds, on the opposite end of a 12' pole, straight up over my head for 5-15 minutes at a time over the course of 12-14 hours. The outdoor scene required an 18' pole with an added blimp for wind reduction which about doubles the weight at the end of the pole. My arms are tired lol. Still going fishing tomorrow though.

This production is one of the best vibes I've caught at work all year, right up there with world poker tour. Great people all around. I'm really blessed.

Loved that show as a kid.

Another one I watched all the time - can you identify it?

I use to live and die for that to come on. Along with combat. Wish they’d bring that back. Thanks for a good memory.

Yard is looking pretty nice for late summer. Mostly thanks to the kindness of Mother Nature.

Could have done without the 6hr power outage last night - lost it about 7pm, finally came back on just before 1am this morning.

That was wild. Both last night and early this morning. Luckily, no wind or hail damage here. Just 1.5 inches of rain. My power lines are buried underground here so the risk of losing electricity due to a storm is virtually impossible. At my last house 6 miles away, I would lose power about once a year due to a storm with overhead lines.

It was a substation that went - pretty much the entire Island was without power.

I just noticed my neighbors trees are loaded. I get a few from it each year. I'm not really big on the texture, but they are tasty.  Like a banana with a citrus kick.

@gimruis completely agree! Last year I was mowing maybe once a month...grass was all brown and crunchy....

This year I'm mowing every ~5 days, in AUGUST! Amazing what Mother Nature can provide.

Went to the Minnesota State Fair for about 5 hours today with my family. Walked through animal barns, went on a sky ride, went through the haunted house, checked out the DNR fish pond, watched a dog show, and ate way too much food. I had chicken in a waffle cone, cheese curds, an 18 inch mega corn dog, hand cut French fries, butcher boys steak sandwich, beer, and a ice cream sandwich. Ughh, I could barely walk out of there.

@T-Billy, she made a pie a few years ago and she didn’t like it because “it tasted like pawpaws” 😂. I got to eat the whole pie tho so no sweat off my back.
