That hopefully already deceased bird was pinned in the grille debris for a couple seconds and then somehow worked its way directly to the path of the rear driver's side tire. 7000 pound tortilla press merged that poor bird with the pavement. Even cousin Eddie wasn't touching that one. 😬

Turkey schnitzel perhaps? 😂

When nothing else is working they still hit the Yama Fat Baby, usually on the fall.  It was a 2-15 that did this.

@NorcalBassin I’ve always wondered what kind of damage a wild turkey would cause when hit at a higher speed. I imagine there was an explosion of feathers upon impact.

Lol I vividly remember that when it happened.  Randy Johnson was the pitcher.  Wasn't it a dove?

Randy Johnson took up photography after retiring from the leagues.

After piecing back together the 1,856 parts found across the infield, forensic reconstruction specialists determined it was indeed a dove. 😂

The dang thing was half in my cab until it slid back out onto the road. I asked my boss if I could watch the in cab camera footage and he never would show me ☹️

Spent the day yesterday getting my main corner and gate posts, and all the metal T posts in for our deer fence at the flower farm. Sure was nice to be out in the field in March with the machines, and it was actually dry enough to not be an issue for them. Usually a job like this would still be a few weeks away at the earliest, but with hardly any snow this winter it’s drying up nicely. Gonna get the fence hung in a week or two, then I’m ready to till up some beds.

What do you do when you lose $7000 under the middle of a road? You cut the road open and get that $7000 back of course! 😁

Isn't there an episode of Seinfeld where George drops a talking bobblehead key chain thing into a pothole and when he comes back to look for it, the crew already has it filled in?

My contractor snapped a rod while drilling under the road. The bore head costs around $5k and the sond that goes in it that gives them their depth, temperature, direction, etc costs around $2k. Each bore rod cost $500. Pretty good reason to sweet talk the city inspector into letting us cut open the road.

Who pays for it? Taxpayers?

My contractor pays for the patch and they dug the hole to get the bore head out.

Mid-60's yesterday and supposed to get up to 80* next week, so of course that means 7" of snow this afternoon with a little more expected overnight. The boys definitely had a good time though.
