Super User bulldog1935 Posted May 1, 2023 Super User Posted May 1, 2023 Trout in the Classroom year is winding down with trips to the tailwater to release trout fry. I have 36 schools active this year, with 6 trips to the river planned over 3 weeks. This was last week's 4th grade class field trip And yesterday, 6 high school Aquatic Sciences teachers came out with their families. The 7 schools so far put 600 trout fry into the river. of course, this isn't about raising trout... ... it's about raising conservationists. 14 Quote

Sure looks nice after an abundance of moisture this past winter to alleviate extreme drought last fall. 7 Quote

Way north bass guy Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Got a start on my wife’s Mother’s Day gift this afternoon. Since we signed the papers for this property two years ago, her and the kid have been taking about getting chickens. I finally got around to starting the coop build today. I’m attaching it to the end wall of our greenhouse, that way we can use the greenhouse heat in the winter to keep “ the ladies” warm, and we can also just open one of the adjoining windows to toss any scraps of lettuce and veggies we pick to give them some treats. Won’t hurt to have some fresh eggs again, I haven’t had chickens since I was a kid living on my parents farm. 15 Quote
