A few deer just strolling by my window. I’ve seen more deer since moving to this neighborhood 5 months ago than I have the rest of my life combined.

My daughter's walk to class the other day...

0GVOuF8.jpg

Riggins' first snow. Pretty confused and a little spazzed out. I'm looking forward to seeing him when we get a foot or more.

Pretty sure nothing could distract Tucker from eating.

Tucker looks exactly like my wife’s paint, Art. He was a good horse and lived to be 28. I met him when he was 16 or so. He was like a big dog! I’d be out fixing fence because he’d always break it. He’d follow me around, put his snout under my arm, and lift his head wanting me to pet him. He’d also grab my pliers out of my back pocket and play hide and go seek.

My wife would barrel race him when she was younger but bucked her into the back of a truck and intimidated her and everyone else from that point on. I never rode him, and he tried to intimidate me, but we had a mutual respect that he obeyed me, and I never tried to ride him. ?

I gave this one a standing ovation this morning. Luckily no one could see me on account of the fog E5-B82266-1-A61-4481-AA8-D-D01-DC8897-D3

He didn’t seem to mind holding the reptiles. How did mom and grandma handle him holding them?

My SIL sent me this photo from today’s game. It’s definitely the place you want to see a HOF quarterback and arguably the GOAT spend the majority of game against your team….

I have a pic somewhere of his mother when she was a kid with a snake wrapped around her neck. She wouldn't go near one now. I had the kids eat nightcrawlers when they were young. Still haven't gotten Eric to eat one...someday.

Took a couple panoramic pics today. First one is from the roof of a cottage I was working on, it’s about 500’ down to the lake from here. Second is my roof, was up there clearing a bit of snow off before the weather gets worse.

Can I ask how you access your roof with snow on it in a safe manner?  I have a TV satellite dish on mine and its 20 feet up.  All this snow has disrupted some channels and I would like to brush the snow off it.  I can access my roof from my deck with a step ladder, but I have to walk a little ways once I'm up there to get to the dish.

We started wearing these several years ago.

Best we've found for sure footing on ice wherever it it.

I would not go on my roof without them even when there is no snow/ice.

Feature Callout

Once the tips wear down about half way, they need to be replaced.

Lasts us at least 2 winters depending on use.

Totally worth it.

My wife used to run the dogs wearing them.

Once you wear these you'll wonder how you went so long without them.

This is a winter sky for Napa CA.  It was spectacular.

What’s the pitch of your roof? If it’s more than a 4/12 I wouldn’t attempt it with snow. @Way north bass guy just the little bit I can see of his looks like a 6/12 or more. I’d like to know how he did it too.

How about a garden hose. I know it’s bitter out, but could you spray it with water? The water should run off before it freezes. Obviously you’d have to drain the hose before it freezes.

Problem solved!

that cannot be healthy to your roof.  I have a welded seam plastic roof and that would void the warranty immediately.
