Walked up on this guy at a little pond yesterday. Watched him for about 15 minutes before he disappeared into a small patch of woods.

LUCKEEEE....never seen one in the wild besides dead ones.   They are absolutely ninjas.

Them and Mountain Lions are my favorite animals.   Congrats on the encounter!

I've been lucky enough to see them occasionally, the crazy thing is I live in the Dallas suburbs, not exactly rural. They are one of my favorite animals too so I love seeing them.

Bobcat? Very cool! Really vivid pattern. Made me think ocelot at first until

i looked at the head. You guys have ocelot wild down in Texas right? Any kind of wild cat sighting is pretty rare. I’m jealous. There is a decent population of bobs in the mountains where I fish but I’ve never been lucky enough to see one. Probably the most elusive animal in NYS.

Yep....

It was the only place I could think of with two bridges right next to each other in all those mountains

Put some chickens in your backyard and they will show up very soon.

Yeah definitely a bobcat and a pretty big one. Like I mentioned, I see them every now and then here but this one was darker than normal and very vivid. Probably the most beautiful wild cat I've ever seen. We do have Ocelot in TX but only down south close to the border, as far as I know.

Not related to this but I saw that a Jaguar was spotted in Arizona on some game cameras earlier this year. I think it was the first one seen in the states since the early 1900's, which I thought was awesome. Hopefully he stays hidden and doesn't get shot or hit by a car.

Zombie king. Poor Eric was cold and had me drop him off back at the house. Headed back and had her on within 10 minutes of returning.

Do they still put up a fight when they’re in the zombie phase?

The Mrs and I attended a bachelor bachelorette party a couple weeks ago that was in a refurbished barn turned into a venue. The tables and bar were live edge so the wife asked my dad if he could do it and he didn’t disappoint.

Yes. 8lb test on a medium light spinning rod, in a harbor, with boats and docks gets quite interesting. Not as much a workout as pulling them out of 100ft of water. I fought her for about 10 minutes. 20lb class fish. Caught her on the skien I pulled out of the salmon I caught a couple weeks ago. She took (2) 50 yards runs and was spent until she saw the net.

Little guy on the right is the youngest member in our pack of 3. He’s a year and a half, only 25 pounds but looks big in pictures. He decided to lay down on the head of my old girl, on the left, who turns 13 next month. But she’s patient with him.

Come on up to the north woods . . .

btw - My opinion of the 'colorful leaves' quickly changes once they are 2 feet deep all over my property.

Wow, that's just incredible!   Absolute eye candy.

Agreed with you when I'm picking them out of all the Yaupons, and various other bushes ?

Not to mention having to pressure wash in the spring from all the staining the leaves do on the driveway.

For some weird reason, I can’t see any pics you’ve posted for the last few days. Everyone else’s pop up right away, but yours are just a beige coloured box ?
