I'm not cleaning them. I couldn't find my electric fillet knife otherwise i would. There's a free cleaning station that you can use or there's also a drop off service which is what I did.

Fishing is totally different today than yesterday. 6 in the box. Jigs today rather than crawlers harnesses yesterday. Much slower today. Heading towards deeper water right now.

I was out on my church security job and it was a nice night to be out on patrol. Some of the high school kids and teachers had built a fire earlier , and the moon is getting close to full.

Took the pic at 3:10 a.m.

I'm assuming the guy on the left in green is dad?

Yep. 82 and still kicking. The guy next to dad with the Under Armor shirt is my cousin who flew in from TX and the guy next to me is my spawn.

Mom has been gone 2 years yesterday and my Uncle, mom's brother and my cousins father, passed away a year ago on May 9th. We had a toast to them Friday after we got off the boat.

We started planning next years trip. God willing dad will still be around to enjoy it.

It was storming this morning as we packed up the car to leave. We lucked out with the weather.

Lunar Eclipse just ending - bad pic, from the phone, through tree branches.

Saw this houseboat at the ramp a month or so ago

When these go by my 16 footer, I'm glad I've got butt seat to lean on

Our new property that we moved to last summer has about ten random apple trees scattered around the fields. The old owner said he’s never seen them produce anything, and a couple of them are over 15’ tall. Early this spring before the buds came out, we gave them all a very hard pruning. Well it’s seemed to work, as most of them are now completely covered in blossoms. I’m certain they are just some sort of crab apple, but it’s still cool to know that we’ve helped to tidy them up a bit and given them a new life again ( and I’m sure the deer will enjoy the treats this fall too).

One of the areas we cover at work is known for being one of the largest producers of apples and peaches here in Michigan. I always try to make it up there this time of the year to see the miles and miles of Apple blossoms.

My boss is the same way, planted fruit trees and let them get huge, no fruit. He thinks pruning will ruin them , despite my advice haha

It’s impressive when you see one of these headed towards Stockton and Rough and Ready Island. When loaded with cargo and creating their own tidal current, they can sometimes turn on the bite…
