this is why we call her backwards dog. She always comes up to you, turns her back to you, and cranes her neck to look backwards. (Proper name is mango)

I’ve become less tolerant of the cold weather my snow puppy loves it and becomes depressed when I bring him in from the back deck.

Ours too. One year the wife and I were fishing one our regular small lakes. We pulled up to the launch and saw a horse there. As we proceeded we noticed it had a John boat trailer attached to it. We met an Amish father and his two boys out fishing. The funny thing was, they had a trolling motor!

A little something to go with my Rock Crawlers! The Mrs and me got married bout 3.5 years ago and have a 2 year old daughter and just days before Christmas last year she had a late miscarriage that ruined our Christmas. My wife has had to be on fertility meds ever since we got married to have kids and Thursday night we got this test and we are excited and I’m hoping for a boy!!!

We had a birthday party for our boys Saturday and our dogs had to be kept in the bedroom to keep them from getting fed stuff they aren't supposed to eat. Cassidee was not happy about it but she was thrilled when she got let back out of the bedroom. She made a beeline for my lap as soon as the door opened.

As Lily is still a puppy, I put puppy pads down while it's just me and the furbabies here and I'm working. Just in case I get wrapped up in what I'm doing and miss her cues.

Yesterday Lily and Roger decided that she doesn't need a puppy pad, and it'd be a fun game to turn it into confetti.

So I very calmly put them into a sit, took this picture, released them, and started cleaning up the mess.

Lily wouldn't even look at me, and disappeared not long into the cleanup process. When I was just about finished, she brought me one of the toys that the rescue gave us when we got her – a tiny, small-dog-puppy-sized tug rope that I imagine she's had forever. She put her big moose head in my lap, with the toy, like she was giving me her toy by way of apologizing for her naughtiness.

She's the sweetest baby.

Edit: Based on the way she acts when I (especially) do something innocuous like picking up the charging cable for my phone off the floor, I suspect she's been abused. I'd very much like to meet her previous adoption family and have a little talk with them.

Caught about of 20 of these guys fishing a marina 30-40 feet deep, couldn't get bit unless it was pink. Ran out of pink flukes and had to use the tails of trick worms.

Never used pink before moving to TN, but it is always tied on winter thru early spring

a New Year's Day on the Guadalupe tailwater

lulDpiG.jpg.faef343dff3fb9cfb1c338b5f6ba5747.jpg

He was sipping BWOs in tiny pocketwater that most people walk over to find deeper holes.  I stopped him before he could get through the chute of a busted weir.  (this is the pocket where I hooked him)

The rod is a prewar Heddon Folsom, the reel a prewar Young pattern 16a.

The same rainbow buck was photographed and posted by another FFR member three months later.
