BassNJake Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Someone at the TVA doesn't understand the Danger buoy needs to be at the top of the structure This way it can be seen from all directions BEFORE you get to the high spot 3 Quote

A-Jay Hahahah! I’m guessing that area was all 10 feet underwater a month ago. You see that all the time around here, sometimes TVA sometimes private individuals. They also move around a lot, I should take some pics of the big cans upriver from downtown. Some of the red/green channel markers are hung up in logjams right next to dry land! @BassNJake, is that up the Powell? I feel like I saw that just above the dam once as well. My buddy has a very impressive collection of buoys that broke loose........ I think he’s building a shrine out of them....... 1 Quote

redmeansdistortion Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Jordan River, oh how I love thee. What a tough river to fish, but a brookie shore lunch makes it worth it. Water so clear it almost looks fake. 9 Quote

CountryboyinDC Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 I see this fox most days if I'm not 'at work' (these days that's a room facing a different direction). She goes into the storm drain, and usually comes out with a rodent or 2, usually mice. I haven't been able to catch her on camera coming out - she makes a beeline to the woods. Ahhh, nature from the suburbs of our nation's capital. To think of what I used to see sitting on a tree stand 5 days a week this time of year when I lived in God's country. 5 Quote

A-Jay If he's anything like my grandfather that knife was only wiped off on his pants after cutting steers (for those of you not from a farm, they were bulls before this 'cutting' process) before he started cutting those apple slices. He was sharp about things though. 4 Quote

One was eyeing my boy while he was riding his tricycle in the driveway. I reached into the recycling and grabbed a beer bottle and threw at him. It only moved a little, didn't run off. My wife took our boy inside. It seems the storm sewers have provided a pretty reliable food source for them. 1 Quote
