Nothing on a chicken goes to waste including the intestines which they put on a stick and fry them or put into a soup. Quote

Growing up, we could get people to help us work cows so long as they got the mountain oysters, no other pay necessary. Then there's chitlins, Yankee chitlins (scrapple), and a whole host of things that I don't believe should be consumed. I will say when I see chicken feet and combs getting consumed, I have to wonder if it's really worth what little protein you must be getting from eating it. Quote

Well dam, you just reminded me I did try Rocky Mountain oysters once on my way out to Nebraska for a hunting trip. I guess I must recant my previous statement. ? 1 Quote

throttleplate Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 this is a typical breakfast, lunch and dinner for a child and adults also in the PH. I felt so sad to see this. I used to go around on my motorcycle up into the mountains in no mans land and drop into schools and the kids would go crazy as very few if any at all ever seen a white man before. The teachers asked me to say hi in front of the class room and i would give them a lesson on where i am from by drawing on the chalkboard showing the countries i had to fly over to get to the ph. 98% of the kids dont even speak or understand english.. The kids would hang onto me and wouldnt let go, some stood for 30 minutes when we went outside just staring at me. 4 Quote
Bassin' Brad Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Hey @Catt was you fishing Toledo Bend yesterday evening? I have never physically seen Toledo Bend in my life but while flying to Dallas from Charlotte yesterday I spotted a lake and thought, that has to be Toledo Bend! (I'm a Google maps junkie so I have looked at Toledo Bend lots of times) I took the pictures coordinates and put them into google maps and measures the distance and I was 32 miles from the nearest point of the lake. 9 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted November 2, 2020 Super User Posted November 2, 2020 That's really cool. I like spotting the lakes I've fished from the plane on my trips to NYC and Boston. Oneida looks huge compared to the rest of the Finger Lakes. 2 Quote
Super User Catt Posted November 2, 2020 Super User Posted November 2, 2020 @Bassin' Brad I wish ? Toledo Bend is 65-70 miles long, 10-12 miles wide, 1,200-1,300 miles of shoreline, 185,000-190,000 acres. Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 8, 2020 Global Moderator Posted November 8, 2020 I use to think Chloe did this just when she was really tired. She's grown now and I've come to realize we just have a really weird dog that sleeps on it's back sprawled out as far as she can go. Never seen one that did that consistently. 8 1 Quote

He's a coon cat and his female sibling is a calico. Best I know is mom was a calico and dad was a fence jumper. My daughter brought the cats over looking for a new home and I got 2 of them. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted November 12, 2020 Super User Posted November 12, 2020 A woman goes into Cabela’s to buy a rod and reel for her grandson’s birthday. She doesn’t know which one to get, so she just grabs one and goes over to the counter. The clerk was standing behind the counter wearing dark glasses. She says to him, “Excuse me, sir. Can you tell me anything about this rod and reel?” He says, “Ma’am, I’m completely blind; but if you’ll drop it on the counter, I can tell you everything from the sound it makes.” She doesn’t believe him but drops it on the counter anyway. He says, “That’s a 6-foot Shakespeare graphite rod with a Zebco 404 reel and 10-pound test line. It’s a good all-around combination, and it’s on sale this week for only $20.” She says, “It’s amazing that you can tell all that just by the sound of it dropping on the counter. I’ll take it!” As she opens her purse, her credit card drops on the floor. “Oh, that sounds like a MasterCard,” he says. She bends down to pick it up and accidentally farts. At first she is really embarrassed, but then realizes there is no way the blind clerk could tell it was her who tooted. Being blind, he wouldn’t know that she was the only person around? The man rings up the sale and says, “That’ll be $34.50 please.” The woman is totally confused by this and asks, “Didn’t you tell me the rod and reel were on sale for $20? How did you get $34.50?” He replies, “Yes, ma’am. The rod and reel is $20, but the Duck Call is $11, and the Catfish Bait is $3.50.” She paid it and left without saying a word. A-Jay 13 Quote
