Oh man, that makes for a bad afternoon right there ?

For sure, it was a bad day for everyone involved. The guy driving looked about 18 and the construction workers had to go back in and redo all their work. I felt sorry for the kid but he did go around a barricade.

Jeez, I wonder if that was his first nice car or maybe dad’s ride that he got to take out for the “last time ever” ?

I wondered that too, he was freaking out.  There is a manual stall style car wash right behind the Shell station in the pic so I imagine he headed straight there once he was out of the concrete. ?

Dead otter tonite . Crossing the road to our lake!! Daughter saw him crossing this morning. Someone didn’t see him and ran over him in the same spot crossing this evening.

Hopefully he didn’t pick off too many of our catfish before his end.

The way I read that first sentence, it sounds like that’s tonight’s dinner ?. Not that I’m judging, I’ve eaten some things before that were not considered “normal” eating.

I never thought I would actually see this happen in the wild but here we are.

I used to pour concrete and worked on roads and bridges.

We started pouring a new lane one morning about 2 hours later a lady in a caddy drove thru our pour.

We had to replace 280 feet of road as the morning stuff was pretty hard so she only made a couple inches of tire marks but she drove as far as she could with the pedal to the floor throwing concrete everywhere.

She also went around the barricades

Pretty sure her insurance dropped her

My guess would be that car will be totaled out

Took the kid to the spring fishing/boat show today. Got a bit of a warm up for when the boat comes back out, or if we ever get enough ambition to get out on the ice.

Stopped at Bass Pro today to grab a new front pedestal for the boat, and came across this coffee display. We had the exact same cook stove in our farmhouse growing up. Same colour and everything. Cats used to love sleeping under it when it was running. Only difference was we actually used it to heat the kitchen and downstairs, and only stored stuff on it in the summer months.

Nicely Done ~

Just a heads yup, and don't ask me how I know but the

BPS management gets all bummed out when you "Noodle" in the trout pond.

Especially when you get a few . . .

The need for speed is real!

I'm pretty sure it's photoshopped ?

Somewhere, I have an antique, hand made hook like that.  No eye; you have to snell it.

When I was a kid, my dad would take us to the shows and bring Velveeta cheese. Put a piece of cheese on the fly that they provided and it was guaranteed trout.

The wife got so excited when she caught this gar. She'd never seen one before.

They use rope to catch them in these parts. Their teeth get tangled in the rope and you can reel them right in to the boat. I have run into schools of them but they have never committed to a lure.

Snow day for the kids. 6poundbass opened the truck door when they got in town and it looks like a snowman pooped on his head!

The picture is sideways but you get the idea.
