Bellevue, NE

A buddy’s shop had about 4 ft of water standing in it as of yesterday. At the time this picture was taken, the water was still rising. He uses this shop to take care of virtually all of the boats that belong to members of our bass club and other clubs he belongs to. He had several boats he was currently working on in there and got them all out except for his own. No flood insurance, because in 50+ years it’s never even come close.

This is a minimal loss compared to what some are losing.

Our friends went out for a fly yesterday and snapped a picture over our house and lake.

How we use to fish my friends uncle's pond. Rickety old dock he had on the pond that wasn't anchored and always floating around anyways, so we just started hopping on and floating around on it and fishing everything as we went. First graduated to a push pole, then I screwed a 2x6 to it and put a battery on it and the most redneck pond prowler you've ever seen, but we caught a bunch of fish from that thing.

Needed a bobcat to clear my front door.  Hard to believe ice-out is usually  in 5 weeks

Just stumbled across some pictures from my trip to Colorado last summer. There was a 2018 Lamborghini huracan in the parking lot and so I asked the owner if I could get a picture in it and next thing I knew he was handing me the keys to rev up the engine. One of the coolest “non-fishing” experiences of 2018.

This is the first bass I caught on a fly. It came last summer in a small farm pond. It was my first on a hand-tied fly too. I think this fish is more proof that some bass will eat almost anything rather than my amazing ability to put a popper together. I look forward to this season and adding many more fish to the list both on traditional gear and fly gear.

My PB to date, don’t know how much she weighed I’d guess 2-3lbs but it was the end of a warm front last February and I had just got my first baitcasting setup as a Christmas gift from my wife so on my lunch break between classes I went to the local park and was throwing an orange craw patterned lipless. Managed to catch 3 or 4 nice bass. When I attempted to swing one fish over the bridge the tip of my rod broke off.

Ran to to the store grabbed a new rod came back and a couple casts later this girl hammered the lipless. Ended up catching 5 or 6 good fish that day in the span of about 2 hours. One of if not the best day I’ve had bass fishing.

Ill never forget this fish but I hope I can top her this year.

Look at it at home, or off their network.  There's nothing offensive on the page.  I have zero control of the site.

I like it way more when the wind blows the other way, tough to flip around that laydown for bass unless the water goes WAY up.

Warmer days, finally getting to do some playing outside! I have a feeling these toys are just going to get bigger and faster as they get older. They're both daredevils.
