You guys have got to be the luckiest people! Your wife wins the awesome grand prize from The Ellen Show, this from the Howell's, and you've mentioned your wife wins stuff all the time too. Congrats! 2 Quote

kenmitch Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 Shaped like a catfish, painted like a trout....This one another one of my bros and has no markings, but is clearly suffering from a identity crisis. 6 Quote

No marking make it hard to ID without randomly stumbling across one. I've been going thru the photos I took of some of his stuff and trying to figure it out. He's got a lot of cool looking lures for sure. Quote

kenmitch Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 Another day another swimbait. Here's another one from my bros collection. I'm not sure what make or brand or even what era it's from. Unmarked and has the signs that it was heavily fished at some point in time. What I found interesting was it actually has fins. It's really weird feeling in hand. Almost feels like it would stick to the wall if you threw it. I was looking at the following image and thought about the potential for old lures or just modern lures as desktop wallpaper....Hmm I think next time I visit him I'll have to find something better as a backdrop and keep the wallpaper potential in mind. Never really gave lure posing a thought. 3 Quote

Couple of my spinners are 40+ years old...I've never taken them down that far, and they still work just fine thank you. Cover plate off, clean it out good, re-grease and re-oil what needs to be, cover plate back on. That's my limit. Quote
