Haha, I guess it’d work quite well for that. I don’t partake in it myself, but maybe I could rent out some space, help pay off the winter bait monkey. 33 minutes ago, Bluebasser86 said: I think you need to peg the sinker and maybe move up to at least a 1/2oz. Around my place, I’d have to peg it with a 10lb dumbbell about now. 2 Quote

We’re both pretty green thumbed when it comes to veggies and flowers, and she’s wanted a greenhouse for a while now. After getting a bunch of free windows from a friends house that he had changed, it was the kick in the rump we needed to finally get started and after a blazing hot summer, ( you want a greenhouse to be in the sunniest part of the yard, which is also the hottest place to work in summer), we finally got some cooler weather in September to build it. Here’s the finished product. We’ll, winter has come early and with a vengeance, but we did get some lettuces and assorted greens planted in late sept. Today was a high of -11C and a horrible wind chill, and we have over a foot of snow on the ground, but my wife went out to the greenhouse and took an inside/outside pic. So far, we’re pleased with the results of our build and with any luck we’ll have some fresh salads by Christmas. At the very least, it’s a nice, tropical place I can visit with my lawnchair in the dead of winter and dream of a summer topwater bite ?. Today at 1:00 it was 29C inside! That is a well made greenhouse. Me and my better half also enjoy gardening and grow fruits, vegetables, and other plants. Must be a ''collectors edition'' or someone price gouging a book about catching bass. Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 25, 2018 Global Moderator Posted November 25, 2018 Found out the hard way on Thanksgiving that it's possible to split a fingernail in half down the middle with a potato peeler, who would have thunk? I kept most of the blood out of the potatoes at least ? 1 1 2 Quote

Those fish were caught in the Quabbin Reservoir. If it were open to them, every bass boat in the state would be fishing it. As a senior, I can rent one of these 15 foot aluminum boats with a nine hp Honda for 23 dollars per day. That includes the fuel, life preservers if you don't bring your own. Can fish 'em from sunrise to a half hour before sunset. It also includes parking. It's a two hour drive for me, but I'll fish it once a week. Oh, that special is only good for weekdays, not weekends. 6 1 Quote

Harold Scoggins Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 As I begin my journey into those "Golden Years," I have found my level of risk taking go way down. However, fishing the big water on a kayak will always be on my bucket list. This video still is by Rob Valderrey. 5 Quote
