Super User A-Jay Posted June 20, 2017 Super User Posted June 20, 2017 I grew up in Mass and spent many a lazy summer day on several of the beaches both north & south on Boston. I did hang out on Revere Beach quite a bit AND I even worked at Kelly's Roast Beef for 2 years before joining the service - Good Eats ! While 'doing my job' I had the good fortune to visit (and live on or near) many more from Maine south to both the Carolina's. I always had sand in my shoes Good Times. Thanks for taking me back . . . . A-Jay 3 Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted June 20, 2017 Super User Posted June 20, 2017 This was 76-77 so it was probably Aerosmith & Fleetwood Mac . . . . And go easy with the 'back then' - I'm very sensitive . . . A-Jay 2 Quote

Super User RoLo Posted June 22, 2017 Super User Posted June 22, 2017 Careless Raccoon Lois & I were fishing at Sturm Island, Lake Kissimmee when I heard a commotion in the marsh. I waited with my camera in hand, just in case the mystery visitor appeared. Sure enough, this silly raccoon came splashing out of the marsh, he was so preoccupied forging that he never seen me until he was just a few feet from the boat. I snapped his picture the same instant he finally noticed me; his expression was a mix of surprise & shame Roger 4 Quote
Super User RoLo Posted June 22, 2017 Super User Posted June 22, 2017 They're known as Wild Turkeys, but they're not too wild in Lake Wales, FL. That's my trailer tongue in the foreground That's my Honda wheel in the background Roger 5 Quote

Super User RoLo Posted June 22, 2017 Super User Posted June 22, 2017 Popular advice is to aim at the head with 7-1/2 shot, but all you need here is a big butterfly net Roger 2 Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted June 23, 2017 Super User Posted June 23, 2017 We have a substantial amount of wild turkey around our property as well. They're only slightly skittish. 1 Quote

This gave me a chance to get a few closeup shots I'd never get in the wild: Roger 3 Quote

I remember the first time I ever saw an Eagle back 20 years or so ago they weren't too common in Central Michigan. Now I have a nesting pair down the road from me, and at one point this winter I saw at least one a week for 2 months strait. To some of you That's no big deal but in Michigan it's a big deal. My step mom saw her first one last year and she's in her 50's. I can honestly say I could never get bored looking at pictures of Eagles. If only they could sound like a loon we'd have the perfect super bird! 1 Quote
