I'm looking to purchase a new Daiwa reel and am seeking advice as to which one. This reel will be used primarily for such things as casting or skipping tubes with light weight, down to 1/8 oz. I'm seeking to replace an old red Fuego that I have been using for this purpose.  Steez line is out of my range, but anything around $300 or less would interest me. To be a little more helpful, if you believe the Tatula SV TWS would accomplish this as well as an SV103 or a Zillion SV TW, please let me know. I'm obviously not interested in spending more than necesssary.   :-).  Those are three I am particularly interested in, but not limited to. Thanks for any responses!

SV103 or SV105

Both have the same spools so their casting capabilities are the same. 103 holds a bit more line compared to the 105 spool. Both are nice but I prefer the 103 do to the longer handle and a bit more drag pressure. Also feels a little more solid in my hands. Take a look at the Steez SV103 too. Easily found on the auction site for $300. All 3 have their place in my aresenal. Hard to pick a favorite since I enjoy them all.

Who makes those grips?!

Do You notice more sensitivity?

Just a thought, the Fuego is a great old reel. You could put a SV spool in it and really increase its capabilities

Your correct and I should know that, I've built 2 Fuegos and 3 OG zillions. Talk about a brain fart. Go with a Tatula SV great reel

No SV spools for that reel.  You could just get a DIY spool for the OG Zillion

then get the SV inductor they also sell and put together and have a sweet set-up

Basically the same inductors so no need to buy the extra one. I've been messing around with them lately. No performance gains that I can see.

SV105 or Alphas SV would be my 1st choice. I'm assuming you won't be using test over 10 lb. Solid little aluminum reel with great casting abilities.
