GreenGhostMan Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I have a senko mold I'd like to use and plan to melt plastic using a pyrex in a microwave. I plan on buying a respirator, but I'm clueless about them. Will the below two items work for filtering out harmful fumes from melted plastic? Thanks for any input!! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IF7RBS4/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2W51HFIBEXIPN&coliid=I34CY4YIFDKATN&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AEFCKKY/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2W51HFIBEXIPN&coliid=I18MQWAV1A9DZO&psc=1 Quote

EHS Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Yes, that combination of mask and cartridge will work for plastic fumes. Be sure to do a negative and positive leak test to make sure the seal is tight. Be sure you have adequate general ventilation as well. 1 Quote

Wife will be happy. 1 Quote
