I have a senko mold I'd like to use and plan to melt plastic using a pyrex in a microwave.  I plan on buying a respirator, but I'm clueless about them.  Will the below two items work for filtering out harmful fumes from melted plastic?  Thanks for any input!!

After reading them it sure sounds like you got exactly what you need.

Yes, that combination of mask and cartridge will work for plastic fumes.  Be sure to do a negative and positive leak test to make sure the seal is tight.  Be sure you have adequate general ventilation as well.

Insure that you have a proper fit. Clean shaven face helps.

Yep... I found me a junk microwave to use just for melting soft plastics.  And I plan to do it outside.  I have a beard so probably gonna have to shave it. :(  Wife will be happy.

She'll be happy until she smells you. Rotten senko is not appealing.
