Hello everyone! After reading info on the page for many years I decided to join yesterday. There was a particular post that I wanted to reply to so I thought; why not? I'm from Pennsylvania and have been Bass fishing for over 40 years now. Here in SE PA I love to fish the numerous small electric only lakes and also Blue Marsh Lake. I have been fishing out of a 14' john boat for many years and recently purchased my first Bass boat. I am still getting to learn all about the new boat but so far am loving it. I typically fish for LM Bass but want to venture out to SM Bass this season as well. Over the past few seasons my numbers have been dropping as the lakes around here receive more and more pressure. So early last season I sold all of my standard Bass gear (rods, reels, baits etc.) and went shopping from scratch. I now fish Finesse 100% of the time and am loving it. My numbers doubled my top previous yearly count over the last 8 years. For years there was no way I was going to use; let alone purchase a spinning combo. But now; that is the only thing I own. Unless I have a 6-6 to 7' ML spinning combo in my hand I am no longer comfortable or confident. I love fishing wacky rigs, ned rigs, neko rigs, french fry baits, small swimbaits etc. I looked upon this page a lot of times to gather info from you folks when I made the change to finesse. This page is/was priceless to a finesse newbie! Now through my own experiences with the switch I am hoping that maybe I can help someone else with advice etc.

Thank you all for the very warm welcoming! I hope to learn even more from this page and hopefully I can pass on a bit of knowledge as well.

Glenn.....PLEASE put up a video on Neko Rigging. I absolutely love your videos but I have searched and searched and it does not appear as if you have taught us the Neko Rig yet, haha. I am new to the Neko Rig this season so I would love to hear/see your explanation of the technique.

Welcome! I believe I've seen you on the PAFisherman forums, no?

Yes Sir you have.....although I must say; I really do not like the PA Fisherman Forum very much. Too much other stuff being discussed instead of actually fishing info etc. Oh well; haha!

Hey. Where in SE PA. I live near Cabela's.  Welcome

Northern Lancaster County.......So do you fish Kaercher Creek at all? I've been there three times and have yet to catch a bass out of it, haha. The first time up there my rod strap broke on the way and I lost all of my rods. The 2nd trip up my son (who rarely fishes) caught a few; I did not and my third trip up there was uneventful (including catching anything, haha). I do pretty well though on Blue Marsh and also all of the smaller electric only lakes down in Chester County.

Lots of chatter and trout fishing... I'm sure you'll find much more information on here for bass fishing.

Where u launch your boat at  Kaercher, about 50 yards out there is an under water fishbowl (previously an old farm pond) Try the drop offs. Usually good for a fish or two
